“terrible? it is horrible !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2006

I came here just for one night because it seemed that Cracow was overbooked. I took the first available place and paid 60 Euros. I should have slept elsewhere – even in the open.

I’m 175 cm and the bed I’ve had had just 180 cm. Not enough to keep you comfortably in the bed. What if you are taller than 180cm?

The floorings and the seatings in my room were dirty – spotted with old dirt and not easily beeing cleaned. Not just dust.

The bathroom was a nightmare. The shower must have leaked years over years because I saw flourishing rust and mildew between the shower tub and the tiled floor.

The towels I’ve used (I‘ve recognized that too late) was laundered but specked with taint.
I have a slight idea from where, because other clients may have used the towels for cleaning the wetted bath before. You certainly will do the same.

If you are unlucky enough to sleep in rooms to the back-yard be prepared for a floodlight experience. The supermarket behind the hotel advertises herself with all the available capacity.

The list can go on forever. It’s not a hotel. It’s just a complex for commercial/industrial use and and bureuas. They have left 2 floors for sleeping. So it looks: unattended and mean. A bivouac. 15 minutes away from old city by tram.

We found this hotel on the internet. As they say, not all that glitters is gold...When we booked the hotel, we were looking for something a step up from a budget hotel. We found the Pegaz hotel on line & after seeing the pictures & the price, thought it was what we were looking for. How wrong we were...

Here's all the things that were wrong:

1) The picture on the website shows two towers (10 floors each) connected by an enclosed walkway. The picture was a really nice shot but what the description failed to disclose was that this hotel has only rooms on 2 floors of both towers. The ground floor is full of shops & commercial offices & that everything above the hotel are private apartments. The picture was deceptive.

2) The bathroom showers - Apparently there was a problem with the plumbing that caused water to back up & overflow in our shower. This water would run into the room & soak the carpet, leaving it very wet & foul smelling. When we complained to the hotel staff, we were told they would send a maid to come clean it up, as they had no available rooms to switch us to at the moment. The next day came & the same thing happend. We asked about being moved & this time we were told that while rooms were available, it wouldn't make a difference as the shower problem we were experiencing was the same in each room. Apparently it is more cost effective to hire more maids to clean the mess than to fix the plumbing. Never mind that the carpet is getting ruined & black mold is growing in the bathroom. Unbelievable !!!

3) Computer/Internet access. While the hotel did provide a room with a computer/internet access for it's guests, the computer's software was outdated & made it useless. The operating system was windows 95 with old versions of browsers. If you tried to surf the internet you got multiple error messages because your browser was too old. The browser couldn't be updated to a newer version because the Operating system was too old. I wasted a 20 minutes of trying to get it to work & then went & found an internet cafe.

Overall the stay was terrible. The website was deceiving & the location wasn't as convenient to city center as the map had lead us to believe. My advice is to avoid this place like the plague !!!
