“Great location , goos standard for 3 star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2006

Just back from 4 night stay at this property. Over all it was good and staff very obliging. Good level of Standards, house keeping was excellent. And service generally good. Breakfast buffet very contiental, some hot options (Frankfurters) not a breakfast to last you until lunch time!!There 6 of us and all in our late tenties and early thirties and were on a bit of a wild weekend ( which was).
Overall could not say anthing bad about the hotel. for the price was well worth it ., but hotels are expensive when compared to other costs in Krakow! We ate out most of the time and there are some excellent restaurants at very resonable rates.
Krakow is a party town, and you will have an excellent time guaranteed.

We stayed here for 3 days and loved it. We went for breakfast everymorning at 8am and did not have any of the problems mentioned in the other reviews. The chice was varied and the taste was great. The reception staff were very helpful and were attentive to any of our needs.

The hotel is in a great position, 5min from the market square but quiet enough to sleep at night.

very comfortable beds!!

definitely recommend it

Before you book this hotel- check around online. I found the room for half of what the hotel was quoting on ----, and various other Polish tourist sites. This hotel is within easy walking distance to Rynek Glowny, which is the main tourist area. The rooms were decent, although we could hear conversations from the room next door. Breakfast was good, but they don't clean up after the people who have eaten before, so you will be cleaning up after other guests in order to eat. Also- get there early so that you CAN eat! We arrived one morning a half hour before the breakfast closed, and there was only cereal (no milk!) and a few pieces of cheese. They do not replenish the food. Do not book any tours through this hotel! We had heard about the mini-bus to the Salt Mines that meets near the post office from several sources. The hotel said they knew nothing of it, and that we couldn't get to the salt mines on a regular city bus unless we spoke Polish. They tried to book us into their tour which for one person costs the same as 2 roundtrip minibus tickets, 2 entrance fees and 2 lunches. They are obviously receiveing a large commission from this! The same thing when we asked the hotel to call a taxi for us, the very expensive "hotel car" arrived. A good hotel, but a few service quirks.

I stayed there for 5 days with my boyfriend and it was a very nice experience.
The hotel is clean, has a very good service and is gay friendly.

We did not hide the fact of being gay. The staff nor the room service ever showed any kind of disrespect because of that.

The rooms were nice, the wired internet connection was included in the price, and the cost of using the phone in the room was the lowest that I have ever seen in Poland.

The internet connection was very fast so we were able to watch his cable tv in our room live through the slingbox / slingplayer. In addition our room was situated at the street side and we had also free WiFi connection.

I am Polish and he is American, and never heard any comment in polish though.

It was clean, the bathroom was quite small, but convinient. the service was very friendly and helpful.

The only thing that I did not like was that they did not clean well the tables after other people were finished with their breakfast. Yes, they took the plates etc. away, although mostly we had to wait for that, but that was all they would do, so the tables were simply dirty. I recommend going down for the breakfast early in the morning when the variety of the food is wide.

This is definitely the place where I would stay again.

PS: a restaurant that we would like to recommend to you: In the old market square (Rynek) called DA PIETRO, next to WENTZEL. Dishes were so delicious and they were so cheap!

A terrific hotel. The rooms were very clean, and well appointed. The service was fine, no complaints. The breakfast buffet was amble and good quality. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of Old Town and is on a rather quiet secondary street: I had my window open much of the time and was rarely bothered by street noise. My only negative comment is in the design of the disabled persons' bathroom. While it is 100% accessible to people with mobility challenges, there is a tendency to get water everywhere during a shower. Still, once you get used to it, it'll work okay for you.
I highly recommend this hotel and when I am next in Krakow I inted to stay there (it was most inexpensive too).

We recently stayed at the Hotel ALexander in Krakow. The hotel is minutes from the main square and a good value. The staff is courteous and helpful. Rooms were spacious enough for those venturing out most of the day. Bathrooms were clean and modern. We will return!
