“Very nice hotel in a great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Our recent stay at hotel Senacki was perfect! Our room was very comfortable and quiet and the bathroom was very modern with a great shower. The hotel is in a perfect location, we walked to all the sights in town. And the hotel staff was very welcoming and offered great advice on where to eat. The only downside was the free wifi was spotty in our room, but it worked great in the sitting area just outside our room, so it wasn't an issue. Overall excellent stay and value. We would definitely return!

He booked just one night on our way to a wedding. The location is great, right into the old city. We really felt at home, customer service was good and we got a nice room in the upper floors.

The only downside it was the heat, so we were basically forced to get the air conditioning on all time, beside that every was pretty fine.

There's some sort of 24h supermarket just on the opposite side of the road, which came pretty handy when having to buy sigarettes, water and a toothbrush.

Just avoid breakfast at the bar next door. They had no air conditioning and food was just below average.

Dear b297py,
Thank you very much for your stay at the Senacki Hotel and the kind comments at Tripadvisor.

Please note that our Hotel served breakfast in the XIII cellars which are states at -1 floor.

Our city is very hot during the summer becouse of that air conditioning had to work constantly. It is with this sentiment in mind that I apologize to you and your family and extend my sincerest thanks for alowing us to receive your comments.

We just returned from our 5 night stay at Senacki Hotel which is located perfectly in the city so close to Wawel Castle and Rynek Glowny and the lovely church of St Peter and St Paul which our room overlooked. The welcome we received on arrival from Jan at reception was polite, friendly and very informative and all staff we met were welcoming and so helpful, informative and booked trips for us and provided excellent advice about eating out and general local knowledge which we found very useful. The room was lovely and had everything we needed and a good sized bathroom with great shower and very good facilities for making tea coffee etc and water provided daily. The breakfasts are fantastic! - from the huge buffet choice available and for the cooked to order menu including a variety of eggs, scrambled, omelettes or pancakes with various fillings to choose from - a great start to every day! We are delighted to have stayed in this hotel and certainly recommend it highly.

Just back this evening from our four day trip to Krakow. The Hotel Senacki is wonderful. It's spotlessly clean, warm, friendly staff and comfortable. Our spacious room was on the top floor. It was facing the church but we didn't have a view as the windows were too small. It certainly didn't bother us any. The breakfast choice is really far more than required. The spread is awesome. You won't get your big fry up if you like that sort of breakfast but you will get eggs cooked anyway you want. Being veggie I had scrambled eggs with diced tomato. My husband had scrambled eggs with diced bacon. He added the sausages from the hot plate at the buffet.

We only took cabin luggage with us. We could have saved space by not taking soap, shampoo, body lotion, paper hankies because they were all provided by the hotel. Two bottles of water were replaced everyday as we're tea, coffee, milk etc.

The hotel is just off the market square. Spoiled for choice for eating places. Didn't have a bad meal in the time we were there and more than happy with the service and the price.

Word of warning if I may use this space. If you use public transport, please, please validate your ticket in the machine provided on the bus. We didn't know to do this. On our journey back from the Salt Mine we were taken off the bus by two inspectors because we hadn't validated ours. They just would not listen to our plea that we were tourists and we didn't know to do this, or how to! They wanted 120zly each from us. I protested and said I wanted to speak to the police. The inspectors then asked how much we could afford. I said 50 each. They said OK no receipt and you give us the 100!

The other thing not to do is... Don't cross the road until the green man flashes, even although there's not a car for miles. Yes, you will be fined 100zly for jaywalking as were two Australians in our hotel.

We stayed at the Senacki last week for 4 nights. The location is perfect sitting between Ryneck Glowny and Wawel Castle. Our stay couldn't have been better. The staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. A special mention should go to Dorota on reception who recommended lovely restaurants and was very efficient in booking trips for us. Our room was overlooking Grodska Street and it was lovely to be able to look out and watch the world go by - especially in the snow! Breakfast was delicious with a wide choice which was continually replenished as we dined. We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to friends and family and will stay there again when we next visit Krakow.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front overlook Grodska Street.

Stayed here last weekend as a long weekend break (a surprise break), the location was stunning and between the Castle and the Market Square. Everything was at easy walking distance and our room had a superb view. The staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful, polite and charming. The breakfast buffet choice was great and fresh eggs, scrambled and omlettes cooked to order. Our room was small but comfortable with everything you need. The bathroom was modern with a very large spacious shower (a blessing as it was cold and snowing while we were there). I cannot recommend this hotel enough and I would definitely go back.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room book one away from the main street.
