We used Poland Active Travel for a tour titled Pope John Paul II Trail. It was a seven hour tour. We had a comfortable van for travel for two people. We drove to Wadowice, Pope John Paul's home town. Our guide provided us with interesting commentary (in excellent English) as we drove and was quite informative. I really felt he was very accurate because if he did not know the answer or English word said so and then researched it when he could. So nice to not just get an answer - accurate or not. I appreciated how he approached the job. He also treated us to one of JPII's favorite cream cakes. Next we went to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska where we had an excellent tour and explanation of the site. He gave us an extra stop at a village established in the 12th century where the homes in the main square remain in that style. It was Lanckorona. Our next stop was at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in the suburb of Krakow called Łagiewniki. Very good stop. We ended our tour at the Archbishops house which was where JPII spoke with the young people of Poland after his busy day. Our guide gave us great stories and insights into the Pope and his life as well as answered a myriad of questions about life in Poland. He made for a fantastic tour.
