“Better than the main square”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

If you want to see the real krakow and not the commercialized part of the main square then visit here cheaper than the main square little bars cafés restraunts all full of great food great atmosphere and cheap beer . Place looks a bit run down and some buildings need renovating but all adds to the charm of the place spent every night here after one night in the square and was far more enjoyable

“One of the most moving places I have ever visited.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

Kazimierz made me feel a whole range of emotions. It is gut wrenchingly sad walking through the former Jewish area and coming to terms with the fact that all the Jews who lived there were murdered. It is like a trip in to the past. Many of the buildings remain just as they were before the war and I could picture the people who lived there. However, Kazimierz is also bursting with life, it has a range of fabulous bohemian cafes and bars and it radiates charm and a certain quirkiness. I think it's a totally unique area and it instigates a mixture of great sadness and hopefulness at the same time. The area is undoubtedly springing to life and prospering but I think there is a need to retain it's character as a memorial to all those who lived here.

The Jewish district was very interesting. We visited a synagogue and Jewish graveyard. Some lovely little shops, cafes and bars in this area that are well worth a visit.

Just returned from a second visit to Krakow. I love the atmosphere in the Jewish district, there are some lovely restaurants and cafes and lots of history. It is a must to visit.

“Pretty enough place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

I enjoyed my Free walking tour around this place ... but the area itself is nothing really special ... you could see it all in a few hours .. nice places to eat and have coffee but i would not be rushing back to see it again .. but for a one day experience it was quite good ...
