“great location, clean rooms and efficient reception”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2010

great location only 10 minutes from the main square and the castle. Rooms were clean and had the best pillows I've ever laid my head on! unfortunately the bar was DEAR and the breakfast was both DEAR and not very good.

A good clean hotel in a central location - overall an exceptionally dear stay.
The bar is very dear for drinks even non alcoholic ones.
Food very good at breakfast.

The second time we have stayed there. The positives are that the location is excellent, being just 5 minutes walk from the centre and it is a comfortable and good standard hotel. Staff seem helpful and friendly. Rooms are interesting and a bit quirky with oddly shaped mirror, bed at an angle etc. Free tea, coffee, water in room.

Negatives are half the rooms face inwards towards other rooms which is not the best outlook. Free wifi, but if you do not have a laptop (courtesy of Ryanair's restrictions on baggage) the use of the business lounge to access the internet is extortionate. By the way, for business lounge read a desk on the first floor. Quoted price for breakfast was such that if you are not on a deal which includes breakfast you would do far better going outside to one of the many local cafes. The bar was pleasant, undistinguished and rather dear so if you are doing any serious drinking the hotel is not the best place.

However, although the above list seems somewhat negative, the Radisson really is a good comfortable base for the centre of Krakow, but best to eat and drink outside if you are on any sort of budget.

I stayed here with my friends just because of the location and it was perfect. Just a minute walk from the marked. The hotell is average but the service from all minus the reseption was great.

The hotel is ideally located in the city center, close to major tourist attractions. It is also easy to get to/from the train station and the airport, with public transportation stops located at a stone's throw away.

The rooms were modern, clean. It is a nice gesture to offer a bottle of mineral water and coffee in each room - a real 4-star service. The breakfast was abundant and nourishing. The only two disadvantages that I found was along queue to check in and not reliable wi-fi. Other than that - a very nice experience.

During my stay, I lifted a chaise lounge in my room to move it out of my way. The bottom of the metal tubular leg was so sharp that it cut through my leather shoe and deeply into my foot. The carpet received blood stains as I hurried to the bathroom to get a towel. After soaking 2 towels, my husband was able to fine our first aid kit and wrap it. I went to the desk on my way to the hospital and reported the incident and requested that the bloody towels be exchanged for clean ones, the the blood be cleaned from the bathroom floor and the dangerous chair be removed from the room. The desk clerks ONLY reply was, "Do you need a bandaid?" When I returned from the hospital which cost me cab fare and medical fees for sutures, I found that the towels had been exchanged but I had to wipe the blood from the floor myself and the chair was never removed. I was stunned at the indifference of the staff.

I stayed at the Radisson twice and I remember there were always some small problems here and there. Third time is the charm and the hotel had worked out all the little glitches and my stay was very enjoyable.

The location was central and the staffers were very helpful and friendly. A lot of people stayed near the square complained about loud noise. My room faced the main road and there was construction going on, but the windows were so sound proof I did not hear any noise at all.

I notice that the breakfast buffet quality had gone done a bit but was still very nice. If you stay for more than seven days, be sure to ask for discounts on laundry and F&B at the hotel. The hotel did not volunteer such information but when asked, they had no problem offering that.
