“A nice hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012 via mobile

Stayed here recently for 3 nights for my daughters 21st birthday. Both my wife and I had stayed here before and were impressed with the hotel in general so decided to return. The location is great for exploring Krakow, with the main square only about 5 minutes away. Most of the interesting parts of the City are within easy walking distances of the hotel which makes it an ideal place to stay. The hotel is classed as a 5 star and to be fair that is a bit ambitious.I think 4 star is more realistic. The rooms are a good size and well appointed.Cleanliness is very good in the rooms and hotel in general. There is a nice bar area which is a bit on the expensive side compared to Krakow in general. They offer a good breakfast and there is a restaurant which we did not try as Krakow has plenty to offer in the way of "gastronomic delights".You can book trips from here which are slightly more expensive than some of the shops etc but it was worth the bit extra just to be able to do it at reception and be picked up/ dropped off at the hotel. To be honest it was such a small difference it was not worth worrying about.Recommend Auschwitz and the Salt Mines. Both brilliant in different ways but a must see.
Overall a great base for a visit to this must see city.

First and last impressions of this hotel were very good. Very clean, beautiful room well maintained. The staff were well trained and polite, nothing was too much trouble.
As other reviews say only a 5 minute walk to the main square where there were plenty of shops bars cafes music etc. A beautiful part of the city. Also only 15 mins walk to Schindlers factory and 10 mins to the Jewish quarters well worth a visit. Thank you would book again and so would my three friends.

Me and my friend are very satisfied with this hotel. It is impeccably clean and the hotel staff are very friendly, courteous and very helpful. We had sumptous meals as there are varied selections of meat, delicacies among others. Moreover; the hotel is in a very good location as most of the main tourist attractions in the city are within short walking distance..no need to take a cab or a bus. This hotel is definitely a home away from home.

Very convenient location to reach by foot Krakow's historical city center - 5min from main square.
Impressive elegant entrance and lobby, spacious and well equipped rooms (I had a huge bathroom). Room furniture was very comfortable and well maintained. However, this is the first hotel where I saw minibar door sealed :) Staff is very kind, helpful and friendly, be it at front desk, bar or restaurant. By the way, this is a common behavior of people in Krakow, taxi drivers, shop assistants or waiters, they were very polite and helpful.
Rich buffet breakfast, with the exception of coffee :(

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel despite being "bumped" the first night to another hotel due to overbooking. No real problem as they organised everything and upgraded us on our return for the rest of the trip. Decent breakfast but pretty basic bar for a Holiday Inn . Great location only a few minutes walk from the Unnesco World Heritage listed main square. Not a hotel with any real soul but fulfils the "Holiday Inn " experience. Would certainly go back.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the main market square. The front desk was quite friendly and spoke fairly good English. The breakfast was decent with a good selection of chase and cold meat. Overall, it was a nice stay. However, I felt a bit uncomfortable when I ordered a private tour from a brochure through front desk and ended up with a hotel van with driver that did not speak a word of English, instead of a Mercedes promised on the brochure. Fortunately, we mainly needed a car to Auschwitz which provided guided tour by the museum.

Of all the hotels we stayed in during our current trip to 4 Eastern European cities, this was my favorite. The room had western-style amenities and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel has 3 buildings--two are new and modern and the third is a historic palace. We had the good fortune to stay in the historic section. The only drawback is the low, sloping ceilings, which others have mentioned. You just have to be careful on that side of the room. Staff members were all very helpful. Breakfast tip: The hotel is at the point where Wielopole and Starowsilna meet. Cross to Starowsilna and turn left and go about 2 blocks, where you will find a bakery with excellent coffee and pastries.
