When I read some of the other reviews about this hotel I got a little worried, especially as most people were only there a few days.
However, having stayed there myself for 6 nights I can tell you I had a great time!
It is a small hotel, very clean, great atmosphere and extremely helpful and polite staff.
The breakfast was functional and good - cereals, fresh juices, fresh coffee, eggs, sausages, toast, buns, cold meats, etc.
It is in walking distance of krakow central - and it is a recommended walk. Takes about 40mins at a leisurely pace down the riverside. Great views of one of the krakow mounds as well as a fantastic first view of Wawel.
By staying in the city you would miss some of the best and most sensational views of the Wawel Hill.
Excellent stay - would definately stay there again.

Clean, nicely decorated hotel, excellent value for the price. We had a nie room on the second floor, room 21 with the big bay window, the bathroom is massive and the hotle is kept very warm.

It's a little way away from the city but it's quite a nice walk along the river, so wasnt a problem for us. Breakfast was ok, although seemed to vary quite a bit throught the 4 days we were there, started off with plenty of choice ut gradually got less and less.

We stayed one night only (thankfully) at the Petrus as a stopover before an early morning flight. The receptionist was helpful but the hotel was very basic. The lack of a lift meant carrying heavy cases up two long flights of (uncarpeted) stairs to our 2nd floor room. The room was tiny & the furniture very cheap & rickety. The table fell apart when I moved a chair (I discovered the chair had been holding the table together). The bathroom was newly & nicely fitted, but TINY - being in the eaves - at 5ft 6in I was unable to stand upright in it. Breakfast was adequate, but we had to sort through the crockery to find plates & cups that weren't chipped. Overall - pretty ropey - definitely wouldn't recommend it.

  • Liked — I'm struggling here
  • Disliked — The nasty cheap furniture that fell apart

We stayed for two nights in this hotel. It was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. For a short stay in Krakow would certainly recommend.

We spent 2 nights at the Hotel Petrus.
The rooms were small but comfortable and modern. also spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was very good. lots of choice.
Location - about 1- 2 km from the old town, but 15 mins walk or a cheap taxi ride!!!!

Staff were extremely helpful & nothing was too much trouble.

We would definately return there.
