Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Atrium Hotel. We were picked up at the airport by the hotels taxi service (90 zloty). Even though our flight was early the driver was already waiting for us. He spoke good english and pointed out and told us about places of interest enroute back to the hotel.
On arrival at the hotel we were surprised at the size of our room (we booked a triple), it was massive and the bathroom was very big. The hotel was spotless and quite modern.
Breakfast consisted of fruit juices, tea, coffee, breads, ham, cheese, jam, cereals, fruit and eggs and bacon.
We booked the trip to Austwich & Birkenau through the hotel, this was 450 zloty. The driver Peter took us to Oskar Schindlers factory and into the ghetto at no extra charge. They took us right into Austwich, spoke to the ticketsellers for us and explained exactly where we had to go and they were waiting for us when we came out. In short we were treated like royalty!
The hotel is 10mins walk to the main market square and 5 mins walk to the train station.
I would recommend the hotel Atrium to anyone.

We have just returned from a short stay in Krakow. We stayed in the Atrium Hotel for 4 nights. Well located from which to explore Krakow and neighbouring attractions and sites. The staff in the Atrium Hotel are friendly and very helpful ensuring an enjoyable stay. The room we stayed in was large and well cleaned. Beds were comfortable enough and we were in a quiet area of the hotel away from any early morning noise from the building and renovations being carried out in the neighbourhood. Breakfast was disappointing but was adequate. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Krakow. Conference facilities were also available at this hotel.
Krakow itself is well worth a visit and we were pleasantly surprised at how interesting the city is. A visit to the Tourist Information Centre in the main square is advised to plan the best available tours, prices etc. A visit to nearby Austwicz and Berganau is a must on the itinery. The Salt Mines were one of the wonders of our visit and a must for any tourist. Some of the restaurants we ate in were of the highest quality and at prices that were reasonable, especially given the quality of the food and service. All in all, a great holiday.

A good hotel quite near Old Town Centre. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast had quite a good selection of meats, breads and fresh fruit and cereals. There was also a choice of hot food including sausages and eggs. Arrived late at around 21:30 hours and had a nice meal in the hotel restaurant. Rooms always clean and tidy. Downside was the hard mattresses and the quilts which were too small. Otherwise an all round good hotel. We would stay there again.

We stayed at The Hotel Atrium at the very end of February for a short girls' holiday and we had a great time. We booked through Easy Jet and after a very late flight, we finally got to the hotel at about 11pm. The receptionist was very nice and gave us directions to get to old town to get a bite to eat. Because it was dark, we didn't make it to the old town but we found a small grocery store just around the corner which we made daily trips to during our stay. Our room was a pleasant surprise - so large! It had two couches that pulled out into beds, as well as a seperate bedroom with a large bed, desk and flat screen TV. The bathroom had a large tub as well as a shower and there was also a kitchenette. There were cups, plates, bowls, cutlery and pans provided but no washing up liquid. We felt guilty about not being able to wash them, but the cleaners did it every day for us. We did not eat in the atrium restaurant for dinner, but we had our continential breakfasts there every morning and found that it had quite a good selection and enough to fill up and get ready for a long day of walking! All in all the hotel was great, the staff were friendly and it was a great location. Its about a 5-7 minute walk to old town so you're close enough for the sites but out of the way of drunken stag parties. The hotel organises excursions, but if you are on a budget I would recommend going to the tourist information centre where they can direct you to get public transport of your own to the local attractions. We took a trip to the salt mines using a local bus service and it only cost 5 zloty return!

I would defintiely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Krakow.

The Atrium has a great location just on the edge of the old town and about a 5 minute walk to the main square. The room we had was on the small side with not a lot of storage space, however it was clean and comfortable and well maintained throughout our stay. Breakfast was good with a selection of fruit juices and both hot and cold dishes.

Do not use the hotel's excursion facility as it is more than twice the price to go to Auszwitch as the local tourist shops in the old town.

The hotel is also very convenient for the shopping mall and the railway station.

As we were arriving quite late, we used a transfer service from the airport which is the same price as a taxi but the driver meets you when you get into arrivals and helps with your luggage. Cost was 70 zlt + 10 zlt tip. On the way back we took the train to the airport as it was so easy to do.(5 min walk through the shopping centre and you can buy your ticket on the train if you are pushed for time) Cost was about 8zlt.

Good way to see the city is by the vintage tram which goes by all the main sites and on which you can have tea, coffee, beer etc. and snacks.
Good city to visit. Hope you enjoy it.
