We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in October 2014. It is not the sterile uniformity of a Holiday Inn or international chain hotel but it does everything you want at an affordable price. we had a double room with a single bed for our son overlooking the courtyard at the rear. Noise was never a problem ,even with the windows open, and the room was plenty big enough, even having a small sofa and two chairs in it. tea and coffee was provided in the room as was a small refrigerator. we were also provided a small bowl of complimentary sweets ( more at reception).
In addition there was free safety deposit at reception as well as tourist leaflets and advice. The breakfast was superb with sufficient for any taste, including fresh fruit, pastries, cold meats, salads and cereals as well as teas and coffees. it was self service which was un-rushed.
The hotel was 5 mins walk to the old town and the same to the new shopping mall.
There is a lift to get to all floors contrary to other reviews.
I would recommend this hotel for its location and quirky appeal which would suit those who want a bit of something out of the ordinary. The staff were all helpful and friendly .
We even ate in the hotel restaurant one evening which was excellent value for money and service was both friendly and efficient.
A further visit to Krakow would certainly start from the europjski

Room tip: we only saw our room but the rooms overlooking the courtyard were spacious and quiet

Firstly don't stay at front of hotel if you cant deal with noise as the train/tram is outside and its noisy. Very close to shopping centre, staff very accommodating and friendly. The room we had was like a suite very spacious and everything you need.

Room tip: noisy at the front

Spent one night at the hotel recently for a business trip. Location was excellent next to the train station. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Decor is eclectic to say the least but charming. Staff helpful and have good language skills.

We have just returned from Krakow after a wonderful few days in the beautiful city. We stayed in the Hotel Europejski which is a very central hotel but it is pretty old fashioned and in need of a good revamp. It is less than a five minute walk from the square with all its restaurants and attractions and is directly across the road from the Galeria Krakow, a fabulous shopping centre with all the high street shops and loads of well priced restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel staff are really friendly and all speak very good English and are prepared to help in any way they can including booking days trips, taxis etc. We stayed in a room to the front of the property and unfortunately the tram runs right past the front of the hotel so it was a bit noisy to say the least. The restaurant food is really good and it is hard to beat their platter for two with two starters and a bottle of the house red for just 40 euro! Breakfast was excellent also and was served from 6 am to 10 am and included cereals, fruit, yoghurt's, cheeses, cold meats and a selection and of breads, croissants etc. A good hotel if you are looking for something central.

Room tip: Choose a room at the back of the hotel

Very good hotel, good breakfast. Excellent location in the city center. A breath away a big mall/shopping center. A stroll away from bus station and train station.
Careful in the rooms in front. There is noise from the tram.
