Excellent hotel, staff very helpful, continental breakfast with toast and eggs as well, room was spacious and it did have an hairdryer. used www.krakowtraveltours.com for airport xfer and auschwitz tour and found they were the cheapest tour agent in krakow and were brilliant. the jewish square is worth finding not far from the hotel with restaurants and bars and even an indian restaurant which we tried on the saturday evening and the food was great although very hot so ask for a mild rather than a medium. we went on a trolley bus (electric car) tour from the market square which cost £56 for two for 11/2 hours very informative though not sure it was worth that much, apparently in the summer they have a city bus tour which costs about £12 each all day ticket hop on and off. surrounding the hotel is a vast number of bars and restaurants and for someone like me who is a very fussy eater, likes plain and simple food that was no problem at all. in our opinion the location of the hotel was better than staying anywhere near the old town and market square as the bars and restaurants were a lot cheaper. approx £1.60 for a pint of local lager which is 5% and really nice and you must try the different flavour vodkas as well.
