“Beautiful royal buildings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

You can visit different parts of the castle. We visited the Vaults which was excavated parts under the castle and really interesting. We also visited the Dragon's lair with the Dragon statue at the end. As you only pay to visit the parts you want it is very inexpensive. The buildings are beautiful and courtyard is like something from a fairy tale.

“lots to do and see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We spent pretty much most of the day here looking around the various exhibitions they have. You have to pay for each exhibition you choose but it doesn't cost too much, and then you can see other parts for free. Good day out :-)

Fantastic place lots to see, great guides but do book if you want a specific day or split your visit into 2 as it takes quite a while to see it all

“Stunning Castle.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

Fortunate to have this castle in view from our Room at the Hotel Kossak, especially with the river view and the night lights from the castle. Within a short walk from the main Square, the Castle is well worth spending time, as there is a lot to see both inside and out, plus great views of the River. We were lucky, as we had a walking guided tour from Krakow Shuttle and Joanna had so much knowledge of the architecture, royalty, monuments and tombs of Kings and Queens.
Make sure you you have comfortable footwear as some steep slopes, cobbles etc. There is a cafe and toilets, and plenty of sign posts!

“Lovely on a good day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Take your walking shoes and enjoy walking all around and in and out this lovely castle. Some of it you can wander around for free and then you can get tickets for the museums and churches within it. Gardens and flowers are gorgeous in August and you can even take the kids down in to the dragons cave underneath!
