Well, neither the long distance to the center of the town, nor the well-sized room or bathroom are an issue here, but - hardly to believe for a 3-star hotel - the lack of soap (!!) and the bed mattress which was far from its better days...or a good sleep is a very important key when you plan to have a perfect vacation.

The breakfast was good, various and tasteful. Quitness also... but it's not a bad idea to have your own soap in luggage, otherwise you could discover there is any when you find yourself already in the shower :)

Room Tip: The new building offers modern rooms with a self-programmer to set the climate...

Stayed here on a school trip. The room was big enough, but with three in a room with suitcases/bags it was a little cramped. The breakfast buffet was big and good.
It's a bitt from the center so I find it to long to walk, so you need alternativ transportation.
Had two problems wich pull down. There is no mention of the free Wi-Fi that i could find. Only found out the last morning that you could get a code from the reseption.
And on our last night there, there was a crowd gathert on the ground direktly below our room and on the fireecape/pat right out our window, who were drinking, smoking, singing and being very loud. We could not have our window open because of all the smoke. Tried to take it up with resepion, but there was only a young woman there, and aldo she tried to talk to them sevral times nothing changed. They were at it to at least 01.00 an since we had to get up at 06.00 it was a big problem. The other adult in my room also went to try and talk to them.

We were in August, missing room refrigerators, torn bedding, towels will hate untidy toilet. Breakfast mediocre, uncomfortable equip a savitaronos tables. Timely not reloaded hot food. There is no hair dryer, bed very uncomfortable. Door lock is unsafe at any time may have something that will not get into. Very far from the city center.

We came in Krakov for three nights for New Years eve, and staied in City hotel. Hotel is far away from city center and it is difficult to reach the center. They give as a room that is small and spooky, and we wanted to change it and give extra money just to give us a room from the picture. The receptionist was very impolite. So if you have chance to chose hotel don't choose this one..

We booked to stay at the Perla Hotel but upon arrival we were told there was no heating so we were sent to the City Hotel. First impressions were that it was a little dated but it was clean - breakfast was of a high standard. However, it is not the quietest of hotels or maybe we were just unlucky! There was a school party in who seemed to delight in running around in circles in the night but kids will be kids however, our last night was horrendous. The room next to mine had four adults, I use the term loosely, who were possibly the loudest people I have heard in a hotel - from 9pm to 4.30am they screamed, shouted, stomped, banged doors, ran up and down the stairs. Given one of the hotel requests is that you are respectful towards others after 10 pm and between 6 am, I would like to know what the hotel thought of this behaviour as there is no way the receptionist could not have heard it yet when I mentioned it the next morning, she asked if I would like to phone them.....not really. I realise this gripe isn't the fault of the hotel as such, more like the idiot adults but I didn't expect to spend four of the four nights break unable to sleep and then be met with a somewhat blank expression. The school party, although a little tiresome, was bearable as they did eventually sleep but the fools from Friday were a different matter and I do think the reception staff should have intervened for the sake of the people, not just myself, who make a point of closing doors quietly and being respectful towards others. I will be taking this up again with the hotel as I was also given incorrect information over a different issue, by the same receptionist, which led to a quite unpleasant taxi transfer service experience. So, rant over - hotel itself is fine and it is easy to get into town but sadly, the hotel is memorable for the wrong reasons. I know, ultimately the fault lies with the people concerned, but to be that loud until that time and the issue not be addressed is not fair on the people who have perhaps saved up to go on a break. Not good customer service, I am afraid.

Room Tip: The offending room was 403 and perhaps the noisy 'adults' had watched 'The Shining'...

We were visiting friends for three nights in the area and they made the arrangement for the hotel. It was a great hotel, clean, friendly, and an excellent breakfast included. Would definitely stay here the next time we come to visit.

Room Tip: Great hotel.

The hotel was clean and quiet.
But I didn't like that the hotel is situated far from the Zakopianska street. If you don't have a car be ready to walk.
