This is a real gem of a hotel. The rooms are spacious and a wonderful marble bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived to check out time. The breakfast was great value for money 41 kr about 7 pounds there was cereal.fruit, yoghurt and of course polish sausage and eggs cooked to order.Unusually for european hotels tea and coffee were supplied thankfully as my partner is grumpy without his morning cuppa in bed.you just need to ask at reception if you want more.As others have mentioned at weekend there is some noice when the bars and clubs close but during the week really quiet.I will certainly stay at this hotel again

This hotel has Polish style and is as other reviews a little dated. The staircase is impressive and the rooms are large, with a lovely large bathroom
The cleaner was lovely and came every day. The only problem was a lack of Tea, Coffee, Milk etc.. only 2 of each every day, but the hotel is near to a supermarket and there is a fridge in the room.
We didnt eat in the Hotel as the menu was expensive and not to our taste. Breakfast is also expensive(40 zl per person) but we found an Irish bar ( Niwago) a few streets away which did a nice breakfast which was ample and reasonable.
Perfect position for sight seeing just off the main Market square with plenty of Bars and Restaurants close by.

We stayed here in June and paid £140 for the two of us for three nights' accommodation, which I think was excellent value for a hotel of this calibre in such a convenient location. It is situated in a quiet area of the old town, with all the main sites and museums within a few minutes walk (except for the castle, which is 20 minutes or so away on foot, or you can catch a tram just a few minutes walk from the hotel) and an easy walk from the station. It is a very impressive traditional establishment, with a wonderful central staircase and decor to match, with plenty of grand touches, such as the gold fittings in the bathrooms.
Our room was spacious and well-appointed, though slightly gloomy, as it looked out onto a light well - but very quiet.
We paid extra for the excellent buffet breakfast, and thought it very good value for less than £10 (especially as it meant we didn't need lunch)
The staff were helpful and friendly, and encouraged us in our attempts to speak Polish! I'd certainly recommend this hotel, particularly if you are lucky enough to find the sort of deal that we had.

So the hotel looks a little tired and the staff a bit grumpy but who cares. Its a great place to sleep in large clean rooms with real character. The best thing about this place is the location, a couple of minutes walk and your in the heart of Krakow, loads of places to eat and drink and the jazz clubs are just brilliant for an evening out. We didn't eat at the hotel, the evening and breakfast menu was expensive so breakfast for us was a coffee and bread from the street vendors.
Would definatly stay here again, just for the location.

This was our first visit to Krakow and staying at the Francuski. Our room was large and very clean. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. They recommended a driver/guide (Darius) to take us to Wadowice. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They arranged for a driver to pick us up from the train station since we were arriving at 10:00 p.m.

The breakfast in the hotel was excellent but pricey. The location of the hotel was near the Planti (park) and only a few blocks from the square. On the day we were leaving, they stored our luggage so we could continue site seeing. They also arranged a driver to take us to the airport. We would definitely stay there again.
