This was our first visit to Krakow and staying at the Francuski. Our room was large and very clean. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. They recommended a driver/guide (Darius) to take us to Wadowice. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They arranged for a driver to pick us up from the train station since we were arriving at 10:00 p.m.

The breakfast in the hotel was excellent but pricey. The location of the hotel was near the Planti (park) and only a few blocks from the square. On the day we were leaving, they stored our luggage so we could continue site seeing. They also arranged a driver to take us to the airport. We would definitely stay there again.

It's hard not to love this very traditional Polish hotel. It may be old fashioned in terms of its decor and style but it was comfortable, clean and the service from the reception staff (especially Dorota who couldn't be more helpful) was excellent. Sadly, no bar but possible to get a drink from the restaurant and sit in the main lobby (which also has free internet access).

Just come back from the Francuski and was very happy with my stay. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was well presented with nice furnishings. Location is excellent only two minutes from the square with many bars and restaurants along the way .Would give the place top marks except for the tempremental plumbing ( though the bathroom was lovely ) You only get two powdered milks in the room for tea/coffee so if like my wife you drink gallons when getting ready then go to one of the nearby supermarkets and get some supplys , there is a fridge in the room in which to keep your bits.

The Francuski has seen better days and feels a bit old and tired. There are better places to stay in Krakow but the Francuski is still outstanding in several ways: great position; large bedroom with comfortable bed; friendly helpful staff; and free internet in the lobby. I stayed for 3 nights with my partner and we were very happy with the hotel.
