If you're interested in what has made this beautiful city what it is today then this relatively new and fully interactive history of the city is a definite must see. They limit the number of people inside at any one time, so be advised that it's wise to book your tickets in advance. We went on a Friday evening having not booked in advance and were lucky to be hovering outside when some people left and they let us go in - the next available tickets were for the Sunday morning, otherwise. The Rynek Underground has all the exhibits in order allowing you to see the city from it's beginnings to it's present state and has little rooms where you can watch films. For fans of Harry Potter, don't miss the gallery where there are portraits of the Kings and Queens of Poland, the first portrait was a surprise and the others just kept on giving. If you have little ones and are worried they'd get bored, don't be - there's the Childrens' Theatre space which is really engaging (for children of all ages...)
