“Dragon's den - place for imagination”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

First tell children a story about a dragon who lived underneath the wawel hill castle and who killed all the young maids in the area, then buy a very cheap ticket and go down to the lovely cave. Imagination works beautifully. And at the end surprise: there is a statue of dragon who has seven heads, and to the amusement of children, it noisily breathes fire every few minutes. Our kids loved it.

“A bit pointless really”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2011

You pay some money, go down a lot of steps of a spiral staircase, come out into some dark caves at the bottom and then outside onto the river path. We thought the dragon statue would be inside the cave but it's outside so accessible without going into the caves.

The best bit about it was being offered a river boat trip when we emerged!

Also, it's one way so best done as your exit from the castle complex.

“Well Worth a Go”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2010

This is up by the castle, you buy a ticket for it just before you go in, it works out about 30p!

When you go in, you go down the spiral staircase and down into the cave it only lasts about 10 mins but its well worth going in for the cost of 30p! Kids will love it, its a series of stone caves and when you come out at the other end there is the big copper dragon that forms the myth and it spits out fire!

Plenty of little stalls when you come out the other end too. It was great!
