We have recently booked an accomodation between 22 and 29 August 2012 at one of the apartments owned by this company (apartment no. 10, situated in Dominikańska Street, just above a bakery). Overrall, our holiday in Krakow was a pleasant one and the apartment was in a very good location and had most necessery facilities. However some occurrences within the apartment and building made our stay uncomfortable and somewhat unpleasant. On our last day we have spoken to one of your employees at the reception desk, that is on the morning of 29 August, to inform him about the complaints but he just told us to send an e-mail with all our complaints to the management in order to see what can be done with our list of discontentments. That's what we did, as soon as we flew back home we sent in an e-mail about our complaints hoping that the management will address them in an efficient and appropriate manner. Our hopes went down the drain because not only did they reply extremely late (18 days later) but they only promised us a discount next time we book at their apartments. Which is ridiculous, to say the least since it is not our custom to visit the same place twice in such a short time.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, this is the list of complaints which we presented to the management and which we advise you to keep in mind if you intend to book an accomodation at this place:
i) In our booking we had specifically requested a double bed, however upon entering the apartment we realised that it was a twin room. That was probably one of the greatest disappointments as soon as we stepped in the apartment;
ii) Upon entering the common part of the building, we were greeted by a gush of irritating smell of food being cooked which useless to say, caused a nuisance every time we stepped in the building (which probably came from the bakery, and which is probably also illegal since eateries and food joints are supposedly equipped with a proper extractor). As a result of this, we had to keep our windows wide open all the time to let the smell flow;
iii) Toilet and drainage odours coming out of the bathroom were also smelt at various times of the day and night, making it unbearable to the point that, again, we had to open our windows wide open in order to let all those odours out of the place. This shortcoming is probably even illegal due to illnesses and diseases associated with such smells from blocked drains;
iv) We got stuck in the lift for around an hour in the middle of the night and no one answered the calls on the emergency numbers given to us specifically by the reception desk. We even had to call the police to get us out of the lift - they got our details and presumably filed a report and it was thanks to them that we managed to get out of the lift safely!
v) We stayed at said apartment for 7 days but no one from their company bothered to come over to change the bed linen, the towels or even do the cleaning. We had to visit their offices ourselves and make a request for the towels to be changed, something which we deemed unacceptable;
vi) The satellite receiver remote control was either faulty or malfunctioning because even when one of your employees came along to bring us the new towels, he wasn't able to switch on the satellite receiver himself with the remote control provided. He told us he'll come back with the right remote control but he never came back during our stay;
vii) There were at least 2 light bulbs which weren't working; and finally
viii) No dish towels.
