i was staying there for four nights. i was not expecting to make good friends or socialize much, but i couldn't have done it even if i had tried hard. 95% of the guests are american college students in a gap-year trip across europe. they are extremely noisy, clumsy and messy. if you want to have fraternity-like parties, eat pizza and play guitar all day and night long, this is your place. while you use the computers, they will be talking loudly and sharing impressions of their visits. i heard someone comparing auschwitz to a college campus.
it's true the location couldn't be any better. however, there is plenty of bars in the street (one of them in the very building's second floor) and noisy gets unbearable until past 3am starting from thursday.
the members of staff are completely useless. the water was not running at all in the toilets and when i went to the reception to let them know, the girl on duty came up with this: 'are you sure you don't want to order some pizza?'
if you want to have a quiet place to chill out after a whole day of sightseeing, avoid it by all means.
