This restaurant is perfectly situated in the center of old Cracow with views across the square of the St Mary's Basilica. We thought this would be a great place to stop for something to eat and sat inside as it was raining and all the sheltered tables outside were taken. The restaurant is decorated in an imperial style which raised our expectations but unfortunately the service and food did not match up to the decor. The hot food we ordered was mediocre but we might have overlooked this had it not been for the service. Once the initial order had been delivered by a sullen waiter we found it impossible to attract anyone's attention. This seemed to be because a coach party had arrived for tea and cake and everyone's attention was diverted to them. There must have been at least 10 members of staff working so if better organised could have met the needs of the the coach party and the other customers. In the end we had to get up and start to leave in order to get the waiter to bring our bill.
