“Distincly average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2011

The welcome was a little strange when entering and I wasn't entirely sure we were welcomed! All I can say is that the food was ok, a little on the expensive side compared to other meals we had In Krakow and the drinks were very expensive. The menu is mediterranean appossed to Polish so if that is waht you are after then go here.

“Don't! Don't! Don't!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2009

I've recently visited "Kuchnia i Wino"after few years. God, there have been some changes!

Service: bad, slow, rude and very unwelcoming. Absolutely rip-off wine prices - examples: "cheap" red wine was 25 EUR (retail price 9 EUR) and decent Chablis was nearly 40 EUR (retail price 16 EUR)!

Food: it used to be brilliant, freshly cooked culinary experience. Now - it's just dreadful. Examples: Italian salad - dressed with cheap nasty olive oil, cheapest fare going on the plate. Fish - overcooked, but somehow the skin wasn't too tender. Sides - burn't veg and oil-cooked potatoes - again, nasty taste of cheap oil plus raw inside.

Apparently, they cater for some sort of yuppie parties now, so there were approx. 50 people in that tiny restaurant what only added to slow service. We waited 45 mins for starters and another 45 mins for the mains! And at the end, after having only a couple of salads and one fish to share, and couple of bottles of mineral water, our bill totalled 48 EUR!

Go somewhere else - my advice that is.
