4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

Very comfortable stay, easily reached by trams 3 and 8 from the main station (5th stop), and less than 10 minutes walk into Dlugi and waterside. Rooms were fresh, and clean. Breakfast good with cheerful staff.

the walking distance to the centre is ok, but the rooms a very small with no comfort. The service was slow and overchallenged. Breakfast is only ok and boring after just the 2nd day. The ok room price was nearly doubled from the cots of the parking lot. it is only middle class hotel. Just invest a few € more for much better quality.

We found this hotel very comfortable and clean and enjoyed our stay here very much. The hotel has a very good restaurant and serves an excellent breakfast. It is just a short stroll into the old town but also close to the trolley bus that will take you to the Gdansk Shipyard which is well worth a visit. Gdansk is such a treat with fairy story views. And excellent shopping.

This is one of the top 3 hotels I've visited in Poland. The rooms are comfortable, and service enjoyable. Expect the standard shower, small compared to American standards. On the top floor, I heard quite a bit of noise from the street, and was happy that I brought earplugs.
Their breakfast buffet was outstanding! I was spoiled by the wide range of food - sausage, fruit, breads, omelet station, juice, and much more. Happy travelers sleep soundly and eat well.

Room Tip: A room on the back side of the hotel, away from the street, is a good idea. If you need a good inter...

This hotel isn't the ritz - it's not fawlty towers either.

The rooms are basic and pretty bland. Don't expect lots of room in or out of the beds.

However, the service provided on reception is excellent, the wi-fi is very fast and a real bonus, while the restaurant is one of the best in the town.

Breakfast is exceptional both in taste and value - eggs are made live in front of you to your exact requirements. Evening meals are enjoyable too, especially the carbonara which is a must-try.

Overall, with the town a 10-minute walk away, great parking and excellent food and wi-fi, this hotel is more than worth a visit if you're in town.

I read somewhere that this hotel was a 2-star hotel after i had booked a stay, how that can be a 2 star hotell is beyond me. We had a luxury room which was a good size double room with a proper bathroom and flat screen tv. It also had a proper refrigerator that was really cold and spacious. The only downside i can think of is that the rooms had wall to wall carpeting, but that's about it.
Our son, 1 1/2 year old, became sick and we needed to visit a doctor. The receptionist were extremely helpfull in calling around to find a doctor that could see us in a short notice, and automatically arranged for a taxi for us.
Also they helped me to print my boardingcard for me without any charge. Every request we had they assisted us with a smile.
When you see the location on a map, it looks like it is a far way from the old town, but it took no more than a 5 minute walk. And shops and restaurants in close proximity was also handy.
The breakfast was very good and included in the price, a variety of eggs prepared on your request by a chef standing inside the restaurant.
This is a real bargain.

Visited the Dom Muzyka for three days this week with friends who were doing family research.
Very little to fault about hotel, except, perhaps, internet speed. Signal was dropped regularly.
Otherwise, everything was excellent. Good size rooms, delicious breakfast, very helpful staff and ideal location, just on the edge of the old city. If we found ourselves in Gdansk again, we would
definitely stay in the Dom Muzyka.
