The oldest St. Wenceslas cathedrale in Olomouc is typical gothic cathedrale with high spires visible from big distance. Visit of the cathedral interior is unforgetable experience.
The oldest parts are from early 12 century. the original Romanesque basilica was later on rebuilt in Gothic style. The last Neogothic reconstruction was done in the end of 19th century when the third spire was built. This southern tower is 150 m high and it belongs to the highest tower in the Czech Republic.
Close to the St. Wenceslas cathedrale you can visit Archdiocesan Museum in the former Olomouc castle with very nice archeological and artistic exhibitions
