“Expensive. Too freaking loud.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

This is right next to an alley where you will find roving bands of bros screaming late into the night, so sleep quality is poor. One of the staff was quite rude, but the others were pleasant. Breakfast is pretty gross. Significantly more expensive and louder than other hostels within reasonable walking distance.

- Breakfast included was great because they gave us a sandwich along with cereal and stuff, which we just used for lunch.

- Rooms & showers were clean

-Dorms had massive lockers (great for backpackers)

- Free computers to use for internet in the common room

- Friendly & helpful staff, good environment

- Very safe (keys & codes we needed to have/know to get in)

Really, couldn't ask for more. Definitely would go back there next time I'm in Prague.

Really close to the centre and really easy to socialise in. The breakfast was great. The only downside was one night on of the lads bought a girl back in a 8 bedroom dorm! Me and my friend we'rnt very happy about it as it woke us up, when we told reception they told us to put earplugs in and go back to sleep! Apart from that very convenient, close to the shopping centre and metro.

Really nice hostel - I stayed in a 5 bedroom mixed and it was pretty large for a hostel room. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The bathrooms were also pretty nice (there were 2 on my floor for women) and the showers were mixed, but it was nice because there was a place to hang your towel and clothes while you showered. Free breakfast & free sandwiches to go! Not the best place to meet people as there was just one common room where no one really talked to anyone else.

Also the staff (depending on who you talked to) could be very helpful or not so helpful. I asked to exchange a 500 bill for 2 200s and a 100 because I was going to a walking tour and didn't want to ask for change and they looked at me like I was crazy or something. The other person that was working was very nice though!

Also - if you stay in a room with an odd number try and get there early to grab the bed that isn't a bunk bed (it's nicer). Also there is a night club or something and you can feel the vibrations from the music sometimes and it was quite loud with the window open. But you can't close the window because then you will boil (all places in central europe apparently don't believe in AC or fans)

Room Tip: Try to get a bed closer to the window (more chance of a breeze) and further away from the door so yo...

Not the easiest place to find but then nothing in Prague is so definitely bring a map/google it! It's 5 mins from the centre of the Old Town and is in walking distance of all the major attractions. Everyone there was really friendly although do expect to see some lad's/contiki tours passing through so not great if you want a very quiet night! Benefits include free computer access, really friendly staff and free breakfast. Just be warned they don't accept card but there are lots of cash points nearby.

This hostel is great. Great location, great facilities and great service. Rooms are impeccable, CLEAN bathrooms on each floor, central location (10 minutes from old town square and 10 min for Prague's principal train station), and the best of all: you have free breakfast with a very decent sandwich included. The only inconvenient is that they DO NOT accept cards and be prepared to do a quick trip to the ATM to get local cash because they'll charge you in Czech Koronas.

In the heart of Prague you'll find Old Prague Hostel. The hostel is an old apartment building and is 5 stories tall. The front desk was very helpful and they where fluent in English. You get free breakfast - bagel with ham and cheese or an vegetarian option. Coco puffs and/or cornflakes as well. Free wifi and 3 Internet computers available. The toilets where clean and the bathrooms as well.

Bear in mind that this is an old house, so it smells a bit old....

I recommend staying here!
