We found this place while taking an exploratory walk from our hotel (Hilton Prague). It is located in a nice quiet neighborhood with a mix of interesting shops, office and apartment buildings. We stopped in only for a beer one afternoon so I am unable to say anything about the quality of the food.
But the place has a very cool atmosphere and they played nothing but American music on their speaker system while we were there. I mean c'mon.....Wooly Bully by Sam the Sham and the Pharoah's.....how cool is that?! Be sure to wander downstairs to check out their dining areas and make sure you don't miss the display that is embedded in the floor in one of the rooms. I think it was a diner who didn't pay his bill.
Right down the street from the Charleston is a large cathedral that is worth visiting too. We took this same walk the following morning (Saturday) and discovered a very cool farmer's market taking place in the park area next to the church. It was a very fun experience wandering around the different stands and mingling with the people from the neighborhood....a very charming European experience.
