“Great food and Beer”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The food was ok and the beer was delicious. It was a very warm day and quite warm in the hotel.
We also shared a table with some people we think were Russin, who didn't talk to us.
The waitress spoke English, Czech, Russian and German too and she was quite hectic (the place was packed full) but still managed to look after us, albeit slowly.

Go more for the beer rather than the food.

“Great Beer & Great First Night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013 via mobile

Arriving quite late, we didnt have time to wander around looking for places to eat, so when stumbling across here we were pleasantly surprised! Very traditional cuisine with fab speciality beers at reasonable prices (44 czk for a pint of beer).

When you first arrive the staff seem abit abrupt, but first impressions can be deceiving as when we started talking to them and asking for recommendations etc they were very nice!

Great first night in a very relaxed environment to plan our trip ahead!

“I'm Czech and I'm not proud of this place at all...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

I took my American boyfriend to this restaurant. I was very dissapointed. The service is terrible, the beer is not the best we have either and the food is overpriced and not good. This place is not worth a visit. It's just a touristy place full of Russians.

I would never go back and I don't recommend this place as the "best Czech cuisine experience".

“True Czech cuisine experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

Recently dined at Pivovarsky dum in Prague during a New Year's visit with friends. This place was recommended by our driver as he drove past on our way to our hotel nearby. Excellent choice! As they say, go where the locals go. We had the beer sampler to start...refreshing and very nice! I had the pork with sauerkraut and dumplings...very good, I must say. Even had the sweet dumplings stuffed with fruit for dessert, interesting and unique...but good. A little too much sauce on our plates for all courses, but I guess that's the Czech way. Overall, a nice restaurant with typical local cuisine and nice, rustic atmosphere.
