“Very good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2015

The location is perfect, right in the centre. It's very clean and comfortable. Staff is very helpfull. For 22 euros or 550 Chech crowns they picked us up from the airport, which we found very useful and fairly priced. The receptionist also booked us some tours and arranged us a discount. Breakfast is good, nothing fancy but definitely more than okay.
The beds were a bit too hard for me, but that's really the only negative point. I'd stay here again.

The location in a backstreet just steps away from the Astronomical clock makes this a star. The hotel reception is super-friendly and helpful and the beds are really comfortable, (I slept really well there). As a solo female traveller I felt perfectly at home in this hotel. Loved hot porridge at breakfast in the cold of February!

This hotel is right around the corner from the Old Town Square, which made it the perfect location for my family's 5-day vacation in Prague at Christmas time. From the hotel it's an easy walk to the holiday markets, Charles Bridge, Castle District, Jewish Quarter, State Opera, and many churches. The hotel is on a quiet side street and we never heard noise from the tourist traffic just a block away. The service at the hotel is outstanding. Every time we went in or out of the hotel, the receptionist greeted us and asked if they could answer questions or help. They were willing to call taxis, make travel arrangements, or book tickets to events. My family of 4 stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a bathroom, and everything was clean and neat. The included breakfast was fantastic and included anything you could possibly want to eat for breakfast. There are several nice restaurants located on the same block as the hotel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I ever get the chance to go back to Prague.

Room Tip: If booking a suite with more than one room, be sure you understand the layout of the beds. I booked...

Hotel Dar is a small independent hotel in a back alley behind the old square in Prague. The approach is a little outputting with graffiti on one of buildings, and the lobby is extremely small, so the initial impression is that this would be OK for a couple of nights. But the personal service of the staff, its premier location and reasonable price made this an excellent choice.

Hotel is very nicely remodeled. Clean and up to date. Room was good sized. our room had an extra couch so it had a little extra room. Bathroom is functional. Shower is typical retro-fitted small stall but worked very well, plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure. Breakfast in the morning is very comfortable and pretty much what you'd expect.

Because of a flight delay we arrived very late and they were very accommodating. . Hotel will send their own driver to meet you at airport (highly recommended for 22 euro). They were also helpful in organizing a tour of the city for us the next day.

But the real selling point is the location, one street in from the old square. It has central and easy access to all the key sites and shopping and markets and restaurants, and no hassle to get back to the hotel during the day or after late night out.

Prague us a wonderfully beautiful city for walking. We enjoyed the Christmas Markets and lights. Staying in the center of everything for a very reasonable price made it even better.

Hotel Dar was extremely charming. It's location, right in Old Town Square, was absolutely perfect. We could actually see the Astronomical Clock from our window. The staff was extremely helpful, and the rooms, while tiny, were clean and comfy. Only negative was having a really loud noise outside around 6am. Street cleaning perhaps? Definitely recommend.
