Chose this hotel primarily for the location, which I think can't be beat. It is in the heart of Old Town Square, and literally behind it is a Metro subway station - easy access to the city. I was also delighted to find that within a 5 minute walk there are a lot of restaurants, souvenir shops, and shopping malls.

The bed is also comfy and A/C was excellent - two of the things that are non-negotiable in my book when looking for hotel rooms. The bathroom was also great, enough space though having a half-glass enclosure (it isn't a door) by the shower was distracting - if you slipped, not only would you hit your head on the tub, but also get cut by the glass.

Like what others said, breakfast selection here is excellent and offered a wide variety to choose from. Staff was always friendly, though I noticed by midnight the man who would be left by the reception does not speak English at all. You can also book tours by the reception at the last minute and there would be no extra cost. It also comes out cheaper than by buying online so I would definitely keep note of this the next time. The hotel elevator is one of the slowest I've encountered though but that was a minor issue.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed 6 nights in this hotel in September and had a very pleasant stay overall. The location is excellent conveniently located near the Old Town Square and metro stops. Everything is walkable in Prague and this hotel is in the best location to access all the major sites. The rooms were clean, spacious and beds comfortable. The hotel was accomodating as we added an extra person last-minute and they supplied an extra bed for 35 Euros a night. The breakfast is amazing, with fresh breads, fruits, yogurt not to mention a full hote breakfast with scrambled eggs, potatoes and meats. The hotel bar was open pretty late and there was free wifi in the hotel bar as well as in the rooms. The hotel bar was even nice enough to make a sandwhich for me one late night when most places had closed to serve dinner.

Before our trip, we exchanged many emails with the hotel staff and they were most helpful. They arranged for a tax service for 680Cz each way to and from airport and the driver was waiting for us at the airport on time. Once we arrived, the hotel staff were not as helpful and only wanted to sell their sightseeing tours rather than provide information on how to get to certain places. They did provide a good map, and it was fairly easy to find our way, but whenever we asked for specific directions, etc, their only response was to ask if we'd be interested in a sight-seeing tour. In any case, the spacious clean rooms, free full breakfast included in rate, and availability of gym/sauna made up for this. All in all, I would definitely stay at Hotel Perla again for the value and location. Besides, Prague is an amazing city to visit!

We spent two nights here, and were very pleased with our experience. Room was huge (compared to our previous stays at hotels in France on the same trip), and was very clean and modern. Breakfast was included with the rate and was of a good quality as well. Its a 5-6 min walk to the Old Town square and maybe 1-2 mins from the tram stop of line 22, which was so convenient to get to the Prague castle area; just remember to validate the tram ticket after getting on.

We took a taxi through Prague Airport shuttle both ways, so cant really comment on how easy it is to get to the hotel by public transport. Good wifi signal inside the room.

We stayed here for 5 night and our first impression was ruined by the front desk staff who was hurried and quite rude upon our check-in. We had another poor experience with the bartender (which the 'wine room' doubles as the breakfast room and only other guest lounge and only area with Wi-Fi access - no rooms in Wi-Fi) who asked us to leave because we brought in a cup of gellatto - after we ordered a bottle of wine and were goin to check email. Otherwise, location was good, breakfast was good, and rooms were clean and well equipped. Unfortunately, we will not be staying at this hotel on our return trip.

We stayed at Hotel Perla for two nights in June. The CEDAZ shuttle from Prague Airport dropped us at V Celnici street; from there, it was a 10-15 minute walk (rolling our suitcases) to the hotel down a wide pedestrian street. The hotel is in a fantastic location – just off from the crowds and main tourist crush, but still really close to all the sights. It was only a 5-minute walk to Old Town Square and a 10-minute walk to Charles Bridge. And the subway is literally just around the corner.

Unfortunately, we had to wait around for our room – it wasn’t ready at check-in time, or when the front desk told us to come back, so we had to do a bit of waiting around. Although we were offered a welcome drink in the hotel’s cafe to make up for the delay.

The lobby and cafe were bright and welcoming, and our room and bathroom were both clean and good-sized with cool, modern decor. No carpeting (a plus), and no noise from other rooms. There was a bit of street noise (we were street-side on the 4th floor) on the Friday night, but nothing we couldn’t sleep through.

The breakfast (included) was a good spread of cold and hot food including yummy barley pancakes and agave syrup. We ate breakfast early both mornings and were glad we did – on the Saturday, there were people lined up out the door by 9am.

Prague’s Old Town is absolutely beautiful. We did find that the mood changed a little and the crowds got a little thicker once the weekend hit. We would highly recommend Hotel Perla to anyone visiting Prague!

Hotel was excellent in every respect. Well located close to old city, good service, clean, reasonable room size, air conditioning, bar fridge, very accomodating staff. Good breakfast included.Would highly recommend and would stay there again without hesitation. Good value for money.
