“Nice view, clean but small rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Great view over the canal. Clean rooms with air condition. Helpful staff. Great location with a couple of 100 meters to Charles Bridge. But the room is a bit small and room for the clothes is scarce. We only ate breakfast at the restaurant but it seemed nice and cosy.

Without any personal recommendations, we decided to stay here on a short 2 night stay in Prague.
We were extremely happy with this place! It was wonderful to return to our room on the boat after a full day of touring around Prague. It's about a 20 minute walk to old town, or take the tram right next to the botel. I suggest staying in one of the larger rooms for a little extra. If you don't want to search for a place to have dinner, the adjacent boat has an excellent restaurant.. The osso buco was great! Another HUGE plus was the free parking. We drove right up to the place, parked the car & left it there for our time in Prague. One other plus: the staff is SUPER friendly with very good English spoken by all. I say go and stop wasting time wondering where to stay in Prague!

Room Tip: Lower deck, larger room on the boat WITHOUT THE the restaurant

Popped in for dinner after walking by earlier in the day. No reservation required on this occasion although we were asked if we had one which is always a good sign. Fast friendly prompt service with excellent food. Views of the Castle and the river, which is to be expected given it's on a boat, but not wishing to do it a dis-service the views were spectacular as the sun went down. Atmosphere was intimate and created a brilliant ambiance. Would definitely recommend! Hope to stay in the hotel if we come back to Prague too.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms are cosy - we didn't have a suite - but there's enough space. Dark wood adds to the stately feeling. Bathroom is small but again, adequate. Our room faced the entrance which meant we could never open our blinds and the lights in the room are not too bright. Breakfast served at the restaurant on the adjacent boat has meats and cheeses, tea and coffee, pastries, and whole fruits. Also provided are sausages and scrambled eggs, muesli and fantastic yogurt.
The bed was v comfortable. The rooms and bathroom were not cleaned too carefully; there were cobwebs by the closet in the room and the bathroom floor around the perimeter was quite dusty, as was the floor under the bed. However I mentioned this to the reception only when we were checking out.
The location is superb, with a tram stop right there and the Charles Bridge about a 15 minute walk away. We bought tickets to a concert from the reception and that was quite convenient.
The staff is v friendly and helpful. Wifi in the room worked well.
We had an early morning flight and the reception staff offered to give us packed breakfasts which we thought was v thoughtful of them.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the river will allow you to open the blinds.

In total there are 25 various rooms, while 7 of them are situated on the original Matylda boat, where also an italian restaurant is located. Another 18 rooms on the newer Klotylda boat. We had the chance to stay in the deluxe junior suite, the only one with private terrace. It was a dream, especially with such a nice weather. Relaxing on your terrace, having a cold drink and watchning the duucks and swans swimming. The room is quite large, the sleeping comfort fantaastic, the bathroom small (dont forget you are on a boat) but very nice, safe, leather couch, you feeling like being the Captain on the boat :-) I would strongly recommand to get a room with a view on the river (so you may have a nice view on the castle too). breakfast is ok, an effort could be done on the preparation and the choice but all in all it's good quality. So, I would definitely recommand this place, something really different, not far from city center but far enough to have quiet nights.

Room Tip: Take absolutely a room on river side..or the deluxe suite with private terrace...

It is a hotel on a boat in a center of Prague. Location is perfect. Atmospheric. Nice and helpful stuff, Second boat is a very nice Restaurant with delicate Italian food. After a day in Prague with it's rich and heave and huge meals that little place is just perfect.

Food was very good and stuff were nice. I had my meal and my cocktail, looking outside on a bridges and trams and people running from a rain. It was stormy and windy and I felt how boat was moving a bit. Couple middle age jazz men were playing surprisingly decent jazz.
I will come back and I recommend to anyone who is into atmospheric places

Room Tip: ask for the room with the river view

A great place to stay for any reason in Prague, as you have every attraction near by. There is a tram stop just by the door, if you have a car there is parking space, the restaurant and breakfast is really good.

Room Tip: Just ask for a river view room, and aim for the suites.
