“Little Gem in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

We stayed for 4 nights in a Suite on the 3rd floor. Our room was very spacious overlooking the front of the hotel, the bed was extremely comfortable, with a well stocked mini bar, and a beautiful bathroom suite, all in all, everything you could ask for. There was plenty of choice at breakfast with something for everyone. The hotel is in a great location and because of this we walked everywhere, every street corner or alleyway was a feast to your eyes, this is such a beautiful city. We had read previous reviews where people were saying their taxi's were having problems finding the hotel, so we emailed them and they arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport which was a lovely touch, they also arranged our return taxi. All in all this is a great hotel with welcoming friendly, helpful staff, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: We did hear some noise late in the evening, as our room overlooked the front of the hotel, though it...

Charming, very helpful receptionists. Beautifully renovated XIVth Century Dominican monastery. Perfect situation. Very quiet (double windows) though the hotel is in a very busy part of the old town. Marble bathroom with bath & shower. Wide (approx.1,80 m), comfortable bed. Beautiful light fixtures. Unobtrusive, discreet, cleaning staff. Very, VERY good breakfast (many different types of bread, eggs, bacon, sausages, porridge, smoked salmon, ham, cold meat, vegs, fresh fruit like pineapple, oranges, bananas, grapes, etc.). All in all this hotel could be one of the very best in Prague if a few problems were ironed out.
1--The Czech employees are all very polite & friendly but the 2 Indian waiters are neither polite nor friendly--this is a 4 star hotel not a youth hostel and their "attitude" is unacceptable.
2--The hotel needs an eagle-eyed "gouvernante" to check the rooms every day for scratch marks on the furniture, dirty foot rests, unhinged wardrobe doors, etc. Our sheets were not changed on a regular basis and a gouvernante's job is to ensure the regularity of service.
3--The hotel needs a water softener because Prague water is so hard that it damages the beautiful marble in the bathrooms.
4--The restaurant should be closed and used as the main lobby because it is almost always empty and this creates a very bad impression. The breakfast room is amply sufficient and very pleasant.
We stayed 7 nights in suite 204 (gorgeous painted ceiling) and we shall certainly visit again this very pleasant hotel and we hope it will be even better next time. Needless to say the situation is priceless.

Room Tip: The suites are well worth the money.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and comfortable rooms with character, welcome drink on arrival is a very nice touch and very good WiFi speeds. The hotel is located very close to Old Town (3 mins walk), about 10 minutes from Charles Bridge and is excellently located for all the major tourist attractions, with the exception of Prague Castle, where you can catch a tram near to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, lovely breakfasts with hot choices as well as cold buffet.

Savic Hotel is located in the old town, at only a minute walking to the Charles Bridges, and yet we did not experience any noise in our room during night time.
The rooms are large and very comfortable. I especially liked having a Nespresso machine in the room.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast room was rather small.

This hotel was everything we expected having researched on Tripadvisor before booking. Welcome drink on arrival, large room with amazing bathroom, buffet breakfast with hot and cold quality food, staff most helpful and obliging, location is the real bonus centre of the old town minutes away from all attractions.

Room Tip: High floor less street noise

What more do you want .. very nice rooms ... friendly staff... excellent breakfast (better than expected) .. and 2 mins walk from one of the main squares of the city = ideal!! we were recommended this hotel and were not disappointed as an ideal central hotel with some character (not a modern block!) and great for exploring the city both day and night during our 4 night stay, would reccommend to anyone wanting a friendly central location, good value, and some character.

Room Tip: we were on the top floor in attic, great spacious rooms with beams, a nice change from the modern st...

Excellent location, great breakfast, spacious room, old building furbished with modern touch. Personnel was great with smiling faces. Only downside is if you have a car parking becomes a probem. My suggestion is for the hotel management to make a deal with closest parking place. In any case, this hotel is a definite recommendation.
