“Great hotel. Fantastic location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2011

If you are planning a short break to Prague, you can't go far wrong if you are staying here. The location is perfect. Close to a Metro station. About 15 minutes walk to the main station in Prague and 5 or 10 minutes walk to the most popular areas of town.

Rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. Staff were all excellent and very helpful. We had a top (4th) floor room which was great as we could see over to the castle in the evenings by poking our heads out of the velux windows. (It looks great all lit up!) Wifi in the room worked well.

Added bonus is a few good restaurants very close by. (The Kabul Karolina and Rainer Maria Rilke were the two we used - both excellent - and the Stoleti is also meant to be very good. The Standard Cafe next door to the Rainer Maria is also very good for a coffee and a panini.)

The only two minor points I personally would pick up on are:

1. Would be nice to have a kettle in the room so you could make your own tea/coffee.
2. Shame the halls are not carpeted as then the cleaners trolley would make a bit less noise as they wheeled it around early in the mornings.

But these are both minor points. On the whole, I would heartily recommmend the hotel. For the quality of the hotel, it was great value.

Room Tip: 4th floor for the view.

Located near the centre of historic Prague, within walking distance of every attraction, this hotel was the best of our three week trip, yet still quite economical. It's about a block from the large new Tesco department store / supermarket, and nearby subway stop, and a few minutes walk to the main square or river. The high-ceiling room had a large opening window, clean contemporary furniture and a very comfortable bed. Convenient bedside light switches allow you to get under the covers before turning off the lights. The modern bathroom had a bidet in addition to the usual facilities; the cleaning staff scrubbed the stone countertops and tile floors, and wet mopped the bedroom floor every day leaving it sparkling clean. Prague had a heat wave during our stay, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.
The hotel front desk staff gave friendly, accurate advice about the transit system and local attractions. We did not purchase the breakfast option (in a basement dining hall), but it looked very attractive and gave off wonderful aromas - additional cost was about 250Koruna per person, but surely must be less than that if you get it included in the price of the room.
Prague is a gem,and we would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Often it was quickest to get to our third floor room via the light-filled stairway. The elevators wo...

we spent 4 days in prague in october 2011 with my husband . The hotel is very well located near to all places to vsit. We got a luxury room, in one of the corners of the 4th floor, really worth the extra money. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Overall a very good place to choose.

Room Tip: Deluxe room, specially the ones on the corners in 4th floor

We stayed 3 nights and was very pleased with the staff, the bountiful breakfast, the room and the modern bathroom. The location was convenient. The hotel is housed in a beautiful building. Loved Prague !!!!! Good value as Prague is rather expensive.

Great hotel, excellent location. We visited Prague in September 2011 and stayed at Eurostar Thalia for three nights. When we reached there front desk was very friendly, helpful and spoke English. Rooms are good size and recently renovated. The first day we reached air conditioning wasn’t working, we were told that they are working on it. However it didn’t work and we opened the windows and were able to sleep.
When we complained to Manager, Mr Chamoso Javier, he was very sympathetic and helpful. He went out of the way to accommodate us and also gave us free breakfast.
Breakfast was very good and is served from 7.00 to 10.00am. Breakfast had great variety of hot and cold items as well.
Location is great , walking distance to Charles David bridge, Old town Square etc. It is next to shopping mall and good restaurants etc. Next to Tram stop which is very convenient, we didn’t take cab to go anywhere.
All in all very good experience and will stay there again and recommend to friends and family.
