“Good place to stop.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

Stayed here for 5 days was clean and easy to find. Would recommend it if someone wanted a cheap place to stop with friends,

Its not a far walk into town, but after walking it a couple of times its so much easier to catch a Tram from just around the corner (9 or 26 i think it was). There was a pub right next door and a pub club just down the road on the corner. Overall can't really complain about the hotel, it was fine to stop here.

From the pension it's about a 20-25 minute walk to the centre. We walked it back and forth every day, but if you prefer there's also a tram running frequently just about a minute's walk away from the hotel. Breakfast is not included but there's a few restaurants around the hotel. There's no elevator so you might have to heave you things up a few flights of steep stairs.

The room was small but clean, the furnishing old (the door handle kept falling off).

Staff was friendly and helpful. They offered us a parking spot, but didn't tell us about the free parking on the main street which I had read about previous to our visit. If you go by car, the Parking on Seifertova is free from Saturday 4pm until Monday 8am.

For a short stay on a budget I'd recommend this place. If you want to spend a little more time in your room you'd probably be better off looking for something a little more modern and less cheap.

i stayed here with 6 friends for a few days and this hotel was great for a cheap stay.

it's about 10 minutes from prague city centre via the tram and is well known by taxis. locally located, there are a few pubs and shops nearby. one downside was the face we had to climb 5 flights of stairs due to no elevator. the concierge (the owner) was very talkative and helpful. staff were also good at letting my friends in when they had no key,

overall, would highly recommend to someone young on a budget.

The man working on the reception at the time of our check in was really friendly and keen to help us if we needed anything - couldn't fault his English.

The room was fine, bed was a double but it was actually two beds pushed together which isn't really a problem.

Bathroom looked modern and was clean, a few toiletries were provided.

Was a 20min or so walk from the train station and into the old town, so the location isn't too bad if you don't mind the walk or there are pretty frequent trams running nearby aswell!

All in all a great hotel at such bargain prices would definitely stay in it again if I'm ever in Prague!

We stayed here for 6 nights in the last week of july 2013. We were fortunate that though we had booked a double room, we got a large room with four beds! the room was in a different building that the one in which the reception was located, but it really didn't matter since we did not have to go to reception except for when checking in and out. Breakfast was included and consisted of the same things everyday, but there was a decent variety - cold cuts, boiled eggs, juices, breads, tomatoes, butter, honey, corn flakes, milk, tea and coffee. The place was 5 minutes walk from the tram stations, which was a bit of a climb uphill. But from there the city centre was well connected - a ride of 5-10 minutes. The hotel itself was located in the Zizkov area, which has a large number of bars and restaurants. The wi-fi was weak in the room and was not working one morning, but worked in general. The staff was friendly Overall, we had a great stay and wouldn't mind going back there again.

Exactly as advertised. Very nice staff. Inexpensive.

I liked the neighborhood although, to be clear, it is not a short walk to the area tourists will want to visit. Main train station is pretty close though. Easy walking distance for people in decent health. Catch the very easy to use Metro and/or a train for a daytrip or into and out of Prague for longer trips.

I liked it very much and would recommend it to save some money and for the neighborhood itself, as well as easy access to the rest of the city and beyond.

We stayed in this hotel for a week and were surprised how much we can get for such a price. Our room was clean and comfortable, the shower and toilet (each room is equipped with it) were apparently recently reconstructed. The WiFi signal was fine, though there was a failure once, but the receptionist had started it immediately when we asked him.
The staff is very friendly and most of them knew more languages then I do, which is not a little. They are helpful in any respect and their knowledge not only of Prague was exhausting (especially of the one called Goran). We had a lot of fun with them, no artificial smiles there.

The location has its own atmosphere - although only 3 mins ride by incredibly cheap public transport (24/7) from the Old Town and all the must-sees, the vicinity of the hotel is somehow still indigenous, very quiet, yet when when we felt like having a drink, there were lots of places around to go and we prefer them to the over-prized clubs in the Old Town itself. There are also two nice parks nearby which our kids just loved.

Would definitely come back when going through Prague, which is a really city soaked with history and beauty.
