“Below expectation”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Despite its beautiful photos promising clean and classy hotel, we were disappointed. Nothing was like expected. Our room was in the second floor, with no bathroom but a simple broken shower room. Room was clean but have to ask for the air conditioner. Bed is not a double size one but two single beds put near each other. We got some industrial snacks at our arrival and communication with the reception was okay. The piece of breakfast was very pretty, unfortunately the food haven't been that good. We had choice between some sausages, eggs and little bread that was made rapidly in the kitchen but jams and cheese were directly from the supermarket nearby. We expected more from this hotel.

The hotel is quite far of the old town but accessible with bus. Impossible to stay very late at night instead you're planning to take a taxi.

When we talk about about luxury, comfort and service, this hotel surely will not come in mind. Everything in the hotel was below average from the quality of room, breakfast to service. The wifi only works in the lobby. The rooms are very small and so is the bathroom. I was there for 2 nights out of which they forgot to clean my room. Also the hotel is far away from the centre.

Room Tip: They say all the rooms are same in which case no point in any selection. All the rooms are small.

The room was clean and spacious. The property was beautifully decorated. It was a bit away from the town center; however, the bus line is close by. The restaurant was very nice as well. We could not have asked for more. The rooms look just like photos. Excellent value ! There is a restaurant called Mood Restaurant near-by. Great restaurant to visit for lunch or dinner.

I got this hotel on a deal and was very impressed with it. It was very clean and quite modern. The room was a lovely size and they served a very nice breakfast in the morning. The bus stop to the town centre is only about a 5 minute walk so really convenient. The bus into town that takes you to Charles Bridge takes about 25 minutes. Get a day bus pass and you can hope on and off the buses all day and it is only about £3 or just under. Along the road from the hotel is a pizza restaurant. We did not have pizza but had pasta dishes which were just awful no taste and the pasta was like one big clump stuck together and was not particularly cheap. On the way down to the bus stop there is a bar/restaurant which is down in the basement had a drink in there and was clean and pleasant.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2011

We stayed in this hotel for three nights in the mid of July. This small hotel has a nice, warm and luxury atmosphere. It’s situated in a quiet living area of Prague. From the hotel it’s only 15 minutes by bus (number 133, 24 Czech Koruna / 1 Euro for a one way ticket) from the very touristy city centre. They offer guarded parking which is a big plus when you arrive by car.

Staff at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us a room on the third floor at the backside of the hotel. The room was quite large and had a good styling. The bathroom had all the comfort you can whish. But, we booked this hotel because they have air-conditioned rooms. When we first came in the room it was very warm and air conditioning was off. There was no way to put it on. When we asked at the reception they gave us the remote control of the air-conditioning. We never experienced this before. This remote control should always be in the room, and not only after asking for.

Breakfast was served in their winter garden at the back side of the hotel. It’s not a very special breakfast but it’s more than enough for a small hotel like this. The hotel offers free WIFI in the lobby which was a big plus for us.

We had some problems with the payment when we left. We booked our room for 70,00 Euro per night (breakfast included) using their own website. When we checked out the girl at the reception didn’t allow us to pay by creditcard in Euros, even when we booked and guaranteed our room in Euros. She said we had to pay in Czech Koruna, which made our stay about 6% more expensive. After a lot of discussion suddenly she came up with an other creditcard machine which accepted Euros. We didn’t like this at all. It felt like an attempt to earn some extra money.

Because of the problems with the remote control of the air-conditioning and the payment we give this hotel only 4 stars, otherwise we would have rated it with 5 stars.
