“Our favorite hotel on our European trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

I traveled with my two sisters in Europe for three weeks. This was our favorite hotel when considering the price, service, clean rooms and grounds, along with a friendly and professional staff. Our room was large enough and tastefully decorated to suit the hotel. We felt safe at all times. The included breakfast was delicious with many food and bevarage choices. We also ate dinner at the hotel and found the food and prices were very fair. The view from our room was lovely. We left our car parked in the free lot at the hotel and we took advantage of the free ride to Wenceslas Square and took a taxi back.
The only con was the shower is small. Although we had no problems a larger person might. I would advise to check ahead and ask if there are rooms with larger showers if you think this might be a concern.
Also the turn for the hotel is a little tricky as you are suprised such a lovely hotel and grounds would be tucked away at an unexpected turn, But with a GPS you would not have any problems! We just loved the Chateau St. Havel!

Room Tip: All rooms seem to have a lovely view.

Hi all! We have just returned from our wonderful stay in Prague where we had our wedding!
Me, my husband and our friends and family stayed in Chateau St Havel for 4 days. We had our wedding reception there as well! I am from Czech and my hubby is Australian and we both live in London. So you can imagine the variety of our wedding guests..
What I'm trying to say is that everyone from our guests whom come from different backgrounds, cultures and have different expectations could not stop talking about how amazing the hotel and it's staff is! The location is lovely because there are no tourists, there is a forest and little lake(pond) and the chateau itself is stunning. I have stayed in many hotels and this one has been the best. The furniture is great and the rooms are clean. The decor is very posh and tasteful. Ladies at the reception helped us with various things with a lovely smile on their face. The restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. Basically..everything was amazing and so much more. we are so pleased we chose this excellent venue for our wedding.
We also enjoyed a private jacuzzi which was fun!! As I am from Prague it was very important my new family and friends will see Prague in the best light and this hotel has definitely helped it. All staff speak fluent English which is obviously a huge plus!! Well done Chateau St Havel and thank you!!!!

Room Tip: 501 The bridal suite all of them are great

My boyfriend and I went to Prague for some days in spring, and we loved it very much. The hotel is located on the outskirts, but you can either use the daily shuttle service provided by the hotel to Wenceslas Square or use public transportation to get to downtown in a jiffy! The staff was always very friendly and attentive, and the room was divine. Breakfast consisted of a very large and tasty variety of Czech and common European things to eat, and was served in a very lovely wintergarden. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

We are from Prague and spent only a romantic wellness weekend in this hotel. We were very excited about the castle-atmosphere, the nice decorated room, luxurious sauna and whirlpool, the friendly staff and tasty food (delicious degustation menu for the dinner, a rich breakfast and a great lunch before leaving).
My husband and me we slept in many hotels all over the world, and I am happy and proud, that also at home in the Czech rep. we have some cosy and luxurious hotel, although not that much. Chateau St. Havel we can highly recomend.

On Saturday, January 12, 2013 we completed our annual series of trying monthly tasting menus offered by the restaurant of Hotel Chateau St. Havel. We started In February 2012 with the menu inspired by St. Valentine Day, continued through spring seasonal products based on such delicious ingredients as asparagus or strawberries, summer specialties and autumn dishes characterised by various mushrooms and game. All twelve monthly tasting menus were prepared by the local chef with the use of top-quality ingredients, sophisticated food design and were accompanied by tasty amuse bouches. The waiters and waitresses in this restaurant provide highly professional services, and yet with a friendly approach. The building of the hotel is very nice, clean and tidy and this year we will surely use not only restaurant but also accommodation services on a festive occasion.

We spent 5 days Dez 2012-Jan 2013 in this wonderful hotel, a little castle beautifully decorated and furnished. Although located between a railway and a highway it was really quiet. At the end of an ugly street you'll find this beautifull and lovely little hotel with a wonderful park. The hotel offers a free taxi shuttle to downtown Wenzel's Place.
Breakfeast, dinner and new years eve menu was terrific.
The Wellness area was also wonderful. High standard, clean, an absoutely relaxing ambiente and service, the prices are reasonable.
But above all we enjoyed the staff: always helpful and very friendly. An outstanding hospitality of this hotel. Thanks a lot to all of them!

Room Tip: Room 209 looking into the park. Large and large windows.
