This hotel was super easy to find with our GPS, easy to access with metro and tram lines, and easy to find your way back after a long day of walking and seeing the sights since the Dancing House is right next door!
We were greeted by a very lovely woman at check in. She was super friendly and gave us maps and advice on where to go and what to see. Very helpful in seeing us to our rooms - next building over - and even changing a room when one group in the party wasn't fully satisfied!
Room was very clean, and very well maintained with a lovely view over the river and castle in the distance. Even though the beds looked like they would not be the most comfortable I've experienced, I was nicely surprised each morning without a back ache :)
A couple of things that kept me from giving it a full 5 dots - First was the fact that our reservation made clear we would have a fridge in the room. This was not the case. It was in the hallway and was shared with other rooms. We used it without problem of anyone messing with or taking our stuff. If the thought of this bothers you, you may want to be sure to ask about the fridge being directly in your room when reserving. I know this is possible as our friends had their own fridge. Secondly, we were located on the 5th floor and we visited on a very hot weekend! We all know heat rises, and a 5 star accommodation would have had a fan in the room for our comfort as soon as we checked in. There are no phones in the room to ring the front desk, so we had to take on 5 flights each way just to ask for a fan. They brought us one that wasn't working properly/at all and assured us that a new one would be in the room by the time we got back from dinner. It wasn't, even though I stopped in the lobby before going up to the room and asked the unfriendly man at the desk. He assured me that he sent one up, and then argued with my brother when he went back downstairs to ask for one so we could sleep with a little more comfort. It took another 35 minutes before they brought one to us. We had one tiny window and a ton of traffic noise. I cannot emphasize enough how loud it was. I am a very heavy sleeper, but between the heat and noise I was woken several times in the night. Fortunately for me I have the ability to fall right back to sleep :)
There is an elevator, it is very small and takes forever. It's there if you need it though which is a rare find! Also, we paid the 200CZK parking fee for street parking and had no problems at all. We parked right outside the front door!
