“So nice, but so hot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

This hotel is in such an incredibly beautiful location. My room had a view of an offshoot of the Charles River and was nice and spacious, but there was only a small electric fan to cool the room. My friend and I woke up sweating which was not pleasant. Other than that, we loved this hotel. The breakfast was delicious and able to be eaten on a pretty little terrace. The reception staff were so kind and I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the river off-shoot

We spent 4 nights at Hotel Kampa Garden and loved that it is located away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the Charles Bridge and the main tourist areas. Some great little restaurants close by and the wonderfully helpful staff meant that we experienced the best of Prague. Easy to walk everywhere. We were there in hot weather so the rooms were extremely warm with only pedestal fans to help move the air around. If you have trouble with the heat best to book somewhere with air conditioning but then you will also miss out on this wonderful location and great staff!

I was recommended to this hotel by friends. The location is ideal. The hotel itself is very clean and quaint with a lovely breakfast and wifi included. There is also a lovely terrace sitting on the canal. It you are visiting in the hotter season, our room did not have air condition and as we were on a lower floor and on the street side, it was both hot and loud (especially on on Saturday night). Just things to be mindful of when booking at this hotel. Were I to stay here again I would only do so on the back side of the hotel.

The title says it all: these are the features that makes this hotel stand out from the crowd! All the other things that count for me were also present: cleanliness, free wifi, good breakfast, thick enough towels, complimentary tea & coffee in the room. It makes all the difference.

That said, here are my negative points: The room was quite stuffy and the double windows are not easy to be kept open. There is no transom window that you could keep open to let in fresh air. We kept the windows closed at night, which reduced our quality of sleeping. Can't imagine how it would be in summertime; probably near suffocating!

The other thing was that while one person is taking a shower, the other shouldn't flush the toilet. If you do that, the showering person will get burnt, because the water suddenly gets scalding hot! That really should be fixed.

Last thing: we ordered a taxi to get to the airport. It didn't show up on time and the next 15-20 minutes were very stressful. When it finally showed up, the hotel staff said they would pay for it (650 corona), which was very generous. In the end, we arrived in time at the airport, so we just paid the taxi driver, but we really appreciated the gesture of the hotel! It just shows their quality!

This hotel is right by the Charles Bridge, but out of the chaos of center city. Our window overlooked the river and the area is filled with outdoor cafes. Clean rooms with flat screen tv and wifi, very friendly and helpful staff. Front desk attendant, Stan, set us up with a delightful, private segway tour, (I love Segway), which got us around the outskirts of the city. We felt like this was a perfect place to stay in Prague...away from the crowds, overlooking river, friendly staff, affordable, decent breakfast, convenient.

Room Tip: Overlooking the river!

Right in the center of Prague, more of the quiet side and just minutes to walk to all the great places you may find in Prague - the old town square, astrominical clock and the charles bridge! The staff are very friendly abd helpful and you can buy the tram tickets and whatever tickets you want from them and they will make the necessary arrangements. I like how professional the staff are in arranging the private taxi for us. As for the room, it is big and clean. Room slippers and hair dryers, complimentary tea as well. The breakfast is good, especially the bread. I will definitely frequent this hotel again for my next trip to Prague. Highly recommended!

What a place!! The perfect location in the middle of Prague, everything is in a walking distance, very nice parking just outside the hotel, Charles bridge 200metres, but the hotel itself is very quite, which I liked very much!

But the real thing which makes this place so great is the hotel staff at the reception desk - extremly helpful, friendly, nothing was a problem! I got into a long conversation with Stan, Daniela helped a lot when recommending places to go, Jindric is a good fella too! Thank to Nataly for a incredibly fast reaction to my emails and pleasant communication.

Use a terrase during the evenings - very pleasant!

Lots of choices for breakfast too, I would only suggest to add a good oldfashioned english breakfast! :D
