I stayed here for 5 days at the end of July/beginning of August. I booked the trip via Expedia, but beware! Do not book through them as when I arrived there, Expedia had not confirmed my booking with Akcent and so they didn't have any details I was due to stay there. Fortunately, they managed to accommodate us anyway, but this was down to luck and the kindness of the hotel more than anything.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, right next to the metro and down the road from a shopping centre and trams. The metro is only 3 stops from the centre of Prague and you just need to take bus no 100 from the airport to Zilcin metro, then this takes you direct to Andel. Here, you just follow the exit signs for the bus station and the hotel is right there!
The shopping centre is conveniently located with a large Tesco's and other retailers, along with a food court that has McDonalds and KFC. Very reasonably priced. A little tip with food...there are various restaurants around this area that is a lot cheaper than around Mustek. We went for a meal at TGI Friday's which is down the road from Akcent and it was great value and service!
The room itself is spacious and airy, but the pillows were flat but were OK once folded in half or you can ask for another pillow. Like someone else also mentioned, the lifts were very slow and there was only 1 lift, but this was not a big deal. The air con was great, but there are 5 rooms which do not have air con so double check this first. The lady on reception was very helpful and her English was great! The hotel also allows you to leave your luggage there before and after check in and check out. If you bring electrical products, they have travel plugs in reception for you to use.
I found some people I encountered a bit rude, but this was not very often. Most people did not speak English or if they did, it was broken English so communication was quite difficult sometimes. The transport system was great and so cheap, only £6 for a ticket to use on all transport for 7 days! You can buy this at the airport when you arrive. There is plenty to eat and see in Prague and everything is cheap compared to England, but clothes shopping is about the same price if not more expensive than here.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel and if I returned to Prague, I would definitely stay here again!
