“We had to stay there because of the volcano”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2010

Simply marvelous hotel...the price was the cheapest from region comparing quality fo food and rooms, 80 euros. The room is nice, clean and beautiful, has tv with many channels, only the bathroom that doesnt has shower curtain but when you have somene cleaning all the mess for you, it is ok. The is no luxury, nobody will take your luggage to the room and the elevator is very small, but it is ok, it compensate with others benefits. The breakfast is delicious, I had won some extra fat because of that, the localization is fantastic, near from the tower, the square, from restaurants, close from everything. One day we decided to not go out to dinner and I ordered a soup of the day and a gnocchi, simply delicious and tasty, very cheap! I would recomend...

Big room, quiet location (room at the back), very close to centre.
Breakfast was adequate, with fruit and eggs, but guests are not allowed to take anything away with them: you can't miss a big note in capital letters as you enter the room!
I was filling out my small plastic bottle with the TAP water in 2 big caraffes on the breakfast bar, and the waiter shouted at me: he was angry and took the caraffe away from me. For this, I give "Customer Service" poor.

Reception very laid back and welcoming. Rooms newly furnished but a bit small though this is to be expected this close to the Old Town Square.
Location is superb, just 3 minutes stroll to the centre of the Old Town.
Breakfast is a very good buffet with all you could want.

One problem, with housekeeping. On arrival our fridge did not work and they were unable to fix or exchange it for the four days of out stay.

However we would stay there again with pleasure

A lovely little hotel with spotlessly clean rooms and bathrooms (recently modernised) - good mattress and bed linen. Ask for a room at the back near the lift - very quiet. Walking distance to most tourist attractions - only 2 minutes from Old Square and you can catch the tram to the Castle. Staff were excellent and you can leave your luggage after check out while you enjoy another afternoon exploring Prague. Breakfast served in atrium and there was plenty of food - even as late as 9.30 am - eggs as well as meats, cheeses and baskets of rolls and croissants, basket of fresh fruit as well as yoghurts and cereal.

This is a very good choice if you plan to visit Prague. For about 60euros per night I stayed in a dobule room at single use. Clean rooms, nice furniture.
My room was in the back of the building - not a nice view but quiet - as I asked.
The downside is the breakfast - while not being bad - is not at the same level as the other services the hotel is offering. Also, if you arrive a bit late like 9:00AM you would find few things to eat. Free wifi in the lobby and at the bar is a nice plus.

Hotel Antik was great for location and price (we booked months in advance using a third party website). Just minutes off the old town square, it is as central as you can get. The rooms were nice and clean, although a bit small, and very quiet (ensure you get a room at the back of the building). The only thing negative about it was the breakfast which is pretty much non-existent- especially if go later in the breakfast period, but we just popped over the Bohemian Bagel cafe around the corner and that was fine

The hotel was nice and very close to the city center. I think the best thing about this hotel is its location cause it's really within walking distance to everywhere. There was a grocery store, several restaurants in the same street. Breakfast was ok. Room was clean. We liked to be that much close to the city center. We never used cab or metro. Last day, we left our luggages near to the lobby and went outside to walk around before our flight back home. We came back to hotel, took our luggages and returned home. When arrived, we couldnt find our perfume in our luggages. We contacted the hotel but they said, they didnt take it. It would be safer to leave the luggages locked in the lobby!!
