“Listened to Mozart”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014 via mobile

Well worth a visit to see the Art Nouveau cafe. We were lucky enough to attend a Mozart concert within Smetana Hall. Truly worth it and the organ is huge and really a fantastic experience to get to hear it in concert. Worth a visit.

“GOOD ATMOSPHERE”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

Good atmosphere and good first night choice to book to get the feel of Prague. Music provided by guy playing piano accordion. Best bit was (even though I don't smoke and love the non smoking rules here) husband lit up cigarette after the meal!! Restaurant is big enough not to notice it though.

“Art nouveau building, a bit variable service in restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

A beautiful building with stylish restaurant and café (and restaurant) on ground floor. We visited those two - the first for an evening meal and the second to try the hot chocolate on a cold, windy day. The restaurant had exellent food and a knowledgeable wine waiter who found the perfect Czech wine for our meal. I subtract one point for a somewhat familiar approach on his part - that sits ill with the style of the place! Also, as in the cafeteria, service may feel a bit slow at times. The cafeteria (on the left as you enter through the main doors) is likewise period perfect and classy. The chocolate excellent. Service has a touch of old-style communist times in being slow - however, that almost feels like positive nostalgia in this place... as long as the quality is so good otherwise. One feels one should wear a suit and tie here, and the ladies should attempt being pre-raphaelitic, pale and world-weary.
