location is great and architecture as well but hotel is not nice. Sorry to say that it needs a renovation and also the service is very weak there. If you pay short money its acceptable for one night but not longer

The hotel is in a very good position in the center of the city.
With a China restaurant connected with internal door.

No wifi for three days with no alternatives and very bad reception services.

I will stay in this hotel only in case of no alternative.

Great location in old part of city centre very near old town square and Obecni dum (municipal house). It is also a short walk to the Estates theatre, the State opera house and the Rudolfinum. A longer leisurely walk takes you in about 40 minutes across the Charles bridge and up to Prague castle on the opposite side of the river. Cafe Imperial is nearby and Cafe Slavia a bit further.

We were a party of 3 all aged in our mid 60s and stayed 5 nights in early January 2015. We had come to Prague for the excellent music concerts and operas. We had two rooms - a double and a single on the third floor. The rooms were clean and modern with TV, hairdryer and coffee making facilities. The wifi worked well. The rooms were reasonable size with space for a separate table and lots of storage for clothes and suitcases. The rooms were warm and we appreciated that the windows could be opened if necessary. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The rooms were quiet and we were not disturbed. The bathroom was clean and modern and worked well. Breakfast was fine and adequate. We liked the art nouveau style of the reception area, breakfast room and lift (elevator). There is a good restaurant (Nostalgie) nearby and a nice pub (Stupartska) around the corner. The staff were polite and efficient. We ordered their hotel taxi back to the airport and the driver was courteous and efficient and kept to the quoted price.

We would comment that this medium sized hotel seems to offer very good basic facilities -a good room and a reasonable breakfast. This suited independent travellers such as ourselves. It might not suit those who like to linger around their hotel and have fuller hotel facilities such as an in house bar and in house restaurant. But heck this is Prague with great sights and facilities nearby so why stay for long periods in your hotel?

All in all it was a seamless stay for us, and we hope to come to Prague again and stay again in this hotel. Best wishes to manager and staff of Hotel Esprit!
John

I loved this hotel especially for its location - 3 minutes walk to the old town - and for the fact that our room had a very nice rooftop view of Prague.
The first room we got was beautiful but unfortunately the window was broken and it wouldn't shut, so we had to change rooms. The second room was a bit smaller but it had a huge balcony - I think it was on the top floor of the building. Loved the bed.
The breakfast room was a whole different experience - it was like something from an 80s science fiction movie. You really have to see it to understand - surreal. Great breakfast too.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room for a nicer view.

Great location - a few blocks from the old-town square. Nice big room, clean bathroom, good buffet breakfast included in the price. Only drawback was the lighting in the rooms and in the hotel - they could improve on this. Staff was nice, recommended the restaurant across the street (Nostalgie); had some really good Czech dishes, and not too expensive Moravian wines there. It is also close to the Ungelt Jazz club - listened to some great blues there every night.

If you want to sleep on the hardest bed in your life come to this place, it's an ald hotel but the location is great, so for you if the location is the most important stay here otherwise take the metro and stay in a fancy place for the same price

WE orderd room at this hotel in the warmest period of the year. The place is ranked as 4. star hotel. But has no aircodition in rooms. I repeat ****, 0 air! Also it is July and the room burned' you couldn't sleep with open window, because of the voices of semi drunked youngster that passed almost all the nights, till mearly morning from the many bars in nieghborhood.
When we checkedout there was an embaracing incident when the front desk woman charged us for mini-bar items tht we had not used' and been from the first time on the table, The incident was very enoying and should not be done, I dont want to repeat the wards we heard from that lady.
The hotel location is the best in city.
Despite of aircondion the rooms are comfort.
There is not real loby., and no bar/
I ' not return to this place!
