I've visited this place several times with my wife and friends and it scores highly every time.
It's far larger than it looks from the outside and has a smoking room at the back and non-smoking room in the front.
The quality and range of beers are exceptional, with many Czech and German beers that you rarely find in Prague.
The owner brews beer himself and distributes some quality beers around that expertise shows..
The bar also has guest beers that change regularly so there is always an opportunity to try something new. My personal favourite is the owner's own Aldersbacher Urhell but the Kout na Sumave and Klostermann are also highly recommended.
The staff are also very efficient, polite and friendly, which is not always the case in Prague bars.
Zizkov is famous for the number of bars it has but the really good ones aren't so easy to find. This one comes out on top for me in terms of quality, service and price - it is far more reasonably priced than nearby bars selling inferior beer and is one of a handful of Zizkov pubs where I have always had a good experience.
They also have a limited menu (in Czech or English) of traditional beer snacks. Try the Romadur if you dare).
One final tip - the address seems difficult to find but it's actually very easy. It's on the main road, Seifertova, on the tram route with the 5, 9 and 26 trams passing by. It's between the stops Husinecka and Lipanksa on the corner directly opposite the big church and across the road from the Ceska Sporitelna bank.
