After a week in Prague I was getting tired of pork shoulder and dumplings (don't get me wrong, I love them). So I had hoped to get anything NON-Czech for lunch on this day. I stumbled across Fish & Chips on Dlouha and figured it was worth a shot.
The place is busy - popular. But on walking in you might think you are in the UK rather than the Czech Republic. The take out area looks like any fish and chip shop in any British city. I headed to the back room and found a table. I was lucky to find as a spot as this place is packed. The back seating area is cool, it has white subway tiles and then a great chandelier to jazz up the place. Very stylish.
The service was quick and friendly. I found the whole atmosphere to be lively.
My fish and chips came in a bowl (I had cod). It was delicious. It was like the best fish and chip shop you would find in London. It came with crisp fries and a side of mushy peas. The best part is that you ARE in the Czech Republic so you can wash down your fish with a Czech beer.
The meal was perfect and just what I wanted. The service is friendly and fun and the place looks great. What more can anyone want?
