“Great views from the park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

If you are feeling fit then you can walk up to the top of the hill but we took the Fenicular railway which was ideal. You can use your all day tram ticket as well. Unfortunately when you are in the park you then have to pay extra for all the other attractions there which could be quite expensive. The views are great over the city and the walk back down is pleasant.

“If you are bored and have spare time.....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

The hill can be accessed by either walking up the paths or by taking the cable car. Once at the top there is a small rose garden and clipped hedges surrounding the paths. There is a mirror maze for kids but nothing to see for adults apart from going up the tower which will entertain you for ten minutes. We walked down and caught glimpses of the city through the trees which was nice but apart from that there is little else to see. If you are passing make a visit, if not it is not worth the travel. I have been to much better free city parks in London and San Francisco.

“Nice views and walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

Well its a hill alright. We enjoyed the walk up as the funicular had a long queue, maybe 30 mins is our guess. Good views every so often but otherwise its a park with trees on a hill. The top had the usual cafe and my wife says good toilets under the tower. We missed the flower gardens as did not realise they were behind the big wall, so they may have been great or nothing special. Walking down to the back corner of the park gives a great view and allows a sedate walk down the hill on a quiet road past the embassies. Its also the direct route to the vrtba gardens.

“Feeling like on top of the hill!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

The trip is worth it: either from the Strahov Monastery or from the park near Ujezd. I would suggest going up from the Strahov Monastery and down to Ujezd for people feeling a bit less sporty.

For non-sporty people, there is a funicular available at Ujezd.

Up there, the place is touristy with its share of drink shops and ice craps. Going up the tower is worth it for the view of Prague.

“Green”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

You must visit the green hills. The view is beautiful . Must go up the tower to get the panoramic view of the city. I stayed in this area and just loved it.
