“Very nice hotel, out of the old town square”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

This hotel is very nice. Everything was extremely clean, staff were very friendly and the included breakfast was very good. Unlimited wifi access in the rooms was very reliable. If you are looking for somewhere more quiet I would suggest this hotel. It is out of the main touristy areas, just a few minutes walk from Prague castle. The only downside was that it is at the top of a very big hill, so if we wanted to eat dinner in the old town square we tended to do that earlier so we only had to walk up it once!

The other slight thing was that the main lights in the room wouldn't work so it was very dimly lit. Other than that the room was faultless. Lovely big bathroom and comfy beds.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for people who would like lovely views, authentic restaurants near by, and a less touristy feel to their trips.

On arriving to this hotel, you will be mistaken to think that is a small hotel. This hotel has a secret that once you step through the door becomes evident. It is a maze of quirky staircases and passages, subtly lit with amazing light fixtures. The room we had was up 2 flights of stairs plus the lift, but it was so worth it. We had the most wonderful room with a bath under the window, the only separate part in the room was the toilet, even that was not totally private!! so if you are not that comfortable in getting totally naked and using the toilet in front of your travelling companion, or sharing the bed..even though it is a very large double with separate quilts, please make sure you let the hotel know. Also the stairs would not be acceptable for some people as the are quiet steep and curved. But the glass roof allows you views of the castle walls, the hotel is just an amazing maze of views, pictures and quirky light fittings.Plus a spa with sauna and jacuzzi. Breakfast here is superb, when they say full breakfast that is exactly what it means, everything you could hope for is on the tables, ranging from meats, cheese, cereal, cake, pastries, bacon, eggs, rolls, crispbreads, yoghurt, fresh fruit and so much more. The reception staff were amazingly helpful and caring plus a mine of information. I could go and on about this hotel, in a great location, most attractions within walking distance about 15 mins to the Charles Bridge. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends, or anyone travelling to Prague. (Unless mobility is an issue)

Room Tip: If you are not wanting to get naked and bath in front of your travelling companion please let recept...

while walking down from Prague Castle, we happened upon this unassuming little boutique hotel, so knowing we needed a room for one night on the way back later on in our travels, we stopped in to see about availability. they could not have been nicer. my friend and I were shown a number of rooms, all of which were quite nice , and chose one that was perfect. as long as you don't choose one up the crazy staircase, I think you're good. the breakfast turned out to be a great buffet. the front desk was a bit overwhelmed and unorganized but accommodating. the room was comfortable and quiet.

Room Tip: don't pick the rooms on the top floor. you might end up carrying your own luggage up the unusual...

Very good hotel, great location, and friendly staff (english speaking). We spent two days here, room was spacious and calm, the breakfast was really nice, and we also enjoyed the spa with a relaxing jacuzzi / sauna session.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel on October 9, 10, and 11 of this year. The hotel was very beautiful, and the location was perfect. When we booked on booking.com, the price was $1249 USD for 3 nights. No info was given breaking down nightly costs. In reading the reviews on this sight, we felt that perhaps it was a very luxurious hotel as we had never paid this much before. In the end, if the hotel were $250 or even $275 per night, we would only have positive memories. The breakfast was mediocre, our room was just above a busy sidewalk when we asked for a quiet room, but these were minor details. When we checked out, my husband was talking with Veronika at reception, and giving feedback that the hotel was not worth what we were paying. If she had politely accepted the feedback, we would have left feeling that we need to do better research in the future when we book. But instead she became defensive and angry, raising her voice and telling my husband that, in her vast travel experience at 24 years old, the prices are fair. I was finishing breakfast as my husband was having this conversation about 10 feet away in reception. I could hear him say, "I don't want to have a fight. I just want to give feedback." His voice was quiet. She was shouting. Then she worsened the situation by saying that the first night was 1853 CZK ($92), the second 3310 CZK ($164), and the third night was 18,737 CZK ($930!). This of course left us feeling completely robbed. Had we know of this outrageous cost differential, we would not have stayed here. It was our last day in Prague, and unfortunately, we left on a sour note. I would never return to a hotel with such questionable pricing, and I feel that Veronika has some serious problems with being in the hospitality business.

I booked this hotel through lastminute.com as I thought the photos of the hotel looked really good and I certainly was not disappointed!

The hotel was clean and tidy and the hotel looks exactly like the pictures. We stayed in room 108 which had a lovely big bath and very comfortable bed. Considering we were right under the castle I thought the room might be very small but there certainly was lots of room for us.

Breakfast offered plenty of choice with a hot option, cold meats, cheeses, cereals and plenty to drink. I was very impressed with the selection.

The hotel is up a hill under the castle so might prove difficult for people with walking difficulities but for me it was perfect as I could walk all around Prague each day and not have to get a tram/metro.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
