“Nice and toughtful staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014 via mobile

Great location, friendly and toughtful staff made us feel wellcomed, clean and spacious room, exellent breakfast and nice terrace with great wiew over the beautiful Prague. What more could you want? Tip: use tram 22 for transportation and get off two stops after Prague castle(Pohorelec), it will be only short distance downhill back to hotel. We will go back to this little treasure or a hotel!

My boyfriend and I visited this hotel for a weekend getaway to Prague. We are a bit younger than the average guest (21 and 23)--I will be a senior in college, and he just graduated. We were greeted with a glass of wine on the terrace as promised, but I really would have preferred to just go to my room and regroup a bit before our welcome. In addition, the hotel's recommendations of things to do were definitely catered to an older/more tourist type crowd.

That said, everything else was magnificent! It was a nice little oasis in the midst of the busy weekend we had planned. The front desk staff patiently showed us how to get everywhere we wanted to go, and the rooms were beautifully updated to maintain their historic look. I would also recommend getting breakfast at the hotel; the spread was lovely with plenty of decadent and healthy options. If you are traveling as a family or as a more mature couple, this is the absolute perfect place for you!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the city.

The excellent welcome and attentive staff set the tone for the rest of the stay. Excellent views of the city from the hotel and the room was spacious and clean. Good advice and information was always available.

In my opinion the Questenberk is in an ideal location--up the hill overlooking the city, a short walk to the castle and adjacent to an enormous and gorgeous park. Our welcome to the hotel was both thoughtful and informative. The welcome refreshments were a nice touch too. The room was nicely furnished and comfortable....and respectful of the building's history. The bathroom was a little small, albeit functional. With a room at the front of the hotel, it was a little noisy unless all windows were kept closed. Although being in a corner room was nice with windows on both sides. The breakfast was varied, good and satisfying. The half joking request for a tip on checkout felt a little awkward. In summary, a very good place to stay in Prague

Room Tip: Our room on the street side was a little noisy if the windows weren't completely closed.

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor we booked at the Hotel Questenberk. I wasn't really expecting the wonderful experience we enjoyed. The check in process was delightful with an offered glass of your favourite beverage and then a lovely sample of a delicious chilled soup. All this done on their lovely balcony with the great view of Prague. We were offered an upgrade (at our cost), but preferred our room as it had a better view. Rooms 103-04 and 203-204 have a view out to the city, and the others have a garden view.

The room was lovely with a nice entrance area with a lot of hanging and storage space. The bathroom was quite large and all recently renovated in a very tasteful manner. The bedroom had a very comfortable king sized bed and once requested, feather pillows. The amenities in the bathroom were very nice and the whole place pristine and shiny clean. The ceilings are very high and the whole place had a lovely old charm feel. It used to belong to the monastery complex and has been renovated without losing its charm. So much better than the 'chains' where you could be anywhere. This had a lovely European feel.

The staff without exception were outstanding and genuinely appeared happy and glad to answer all questions- no matter how many times they must be asked the same questions

The breakfasts were very nice - not outstanding, but there was absolutely everything you could possibly want . They have to cater to all nationalities and they appeared to do it well. I even heard one man asked for sparkling wine (and this was at 8 in the morning!)

We had dinner on the balcony which is very tempting as after a long day out, it is was so nice to return to the quiet of the area close to the monastery. The area of the hotel is just fabulous and the number 22 tram is the best tram as it runs right through to the town. If you are too tired to walk up the hill (around 15 minutes) this tram is very regular. We really appreciated being out of the heaving masses of busy Prague.
Tea and coffee are offered in a nice lounge - at no charge and at 4pm, cake appears. There is tea and coffee in the room.
I cannot think of one negative thing to say - it was all just lovely. Apparently the owners are new and their focus is in offering a special experience to their guests and not just a ''thank you and here is your key' and it shows. Well done to all who work at Hotel Questenberk. And, by the way, we had to be up at 03:30 and the young man on the desk at the time was as smart and awake as could be. We arranged our own taxi service, which I will review with glowing kudos as well.

Room Tip: Rooms 103-104 and 203-204 have a view of the city - slightly restricted, where across the hall, have...

The hotel has such good reviews on Tripadvisor, which is why I chose it, and I wasn't disappointed. The check-in was original - sitting on the terrace enjoying the city and monastery view with a complimentary glass of white wine while being given good advice and information on visiting the city. My room was spacious, the bed comfy, everything spotlessly clean. The breakfast is good for vegetarians as well as carnivores, cheeses, cold meats, fresh fruit, breads and biscuits, yogurt, juices, scrambled eggs, cakes, bacon, sausages and on and on and on! The number 22 tram up the hill at the end of the day is worth taking, tickets available at metro stations. I had two dinners in the hotel, both delicious. It was quite hot in Prague (air conditioning in the bedrooms), and it was delightful to be above the city out of the heat and noise in a green, fresh haven.
The hotel car to the airport cost CzKr 700; the driver was waiting in reception, was pleasant and helpful. It also relieved any anxiety about being ripped off by the city's taxi drivers, who don't have a good reputation!
I'm taking my husband in the autumn, it was so enjoyable.

Room Tip: The monastery next door rings bells on the quarter hour. If you're a light sleeper ask for a r...

I have stayed for a long weekend at Questenberk Hotel. I was lured by the great reviews, and I have to say that I have not let down.
Firstly, the position is great as the hotel gives great views on the city, letting guests start their Prague visits from a prime location, enjoying walks through the Mala Strana area, and being at (just) walking distance from every main interest point.
The usual drawback of places on top of the hill - the walk up after a day of sightseeing - is easily overcome by taking an uphill panoramic ride on Tram #22, which is as enjoyable as the downhill walk.
The great level of service, coupled with a personal touch from every member of staff made the experience all the most enjoyable, from driver pickup at airport to checkin and checkout procedures.
I'd have only a minor remark, for the beds, as I don't think that two single (small) beds can be passed for a double bed, but in general that is just a small glitch in an overall very positive experience.

Room Tip: make sure you ask for a real double bed
