Located steps away from one of the Tram 22 stops, this hotel sits at the top of the Castle area in an old monastery with amazing views over Prague. There are restaurants all within walking distance and some lovely walks in Prague’s biggest park, and around the Castle grounds.
The hotel focuses on providing a high level of service from check in (lovely welcome drink and info on the area) to the staff serving breakfast. Every member of staff we encountered was incredibly friendly and always greeted us with a friendly hello.
Our room was a good size with complimentary fruit and water. The bed was comfortable, and there was a TV with channels in all sorts of languages. We heard no noise from any other guests and due to the monastery being large and roomy we were well spaced away from other guests.
Breakfast was served in a bright, airy room with beautiful views to the park and down across Prague. There was a large selection of hams, cheeses, bread, pastries, fruit, cereal and homemade yoghurt. There was also hot food each day that varied but always included eggs. You could also pay an extra 7Euro for food off the menu but as the buffet was so good we just stuck with that. The breakfast room and terrace open up at night as a restaurant however this was closed due to the terrace being refurbished but we would have liked to have eaten here had it been open – something to save for next time!
As the hotel is at the top of the hill we tended to walk down (it’s quite steep) but used Tram 22 to get back up. All very simple! It’s the perfect location to explore the Castle district but all of Prague’s other sites are only a tram ride or 10 – 15 minute walk away. The hotel is well looked after and a truly beautiful place to stay. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone! You would not get this level of comfort and service for the same price in the UK.
