“Good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

Walking to city center this hotel as the perfect location to visit the old town. The room had a lot of space and the price was fare. Toilet and shower facilities were clean and the breakfast was very good.

I have just returned from a three night stay at The Old Prague Hotel. The hotel is spotless and the bedrooms are lovely with very comfortable beds and a large bathrom with a powerful shower. Breakfast was very good, with fruit juices, yoghurts, fruit, bread, pastries, cold meats, cheese, a toaster, boiled eggs and scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, tea and coffee. I cannot praise the staff of this hotel enough. Jan, Marketa and Renata were so friendly and helpful, as was the lady at breakfast and the housekeeping staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Prague as it is a five minute walk to the Old Town Square. You also have a safe in your bedroom. I would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again as myself and my family had a fantastic weekend here.

Room Tip: We had room 106 which faces the front, but did not hear any noise when our windows were closed.

Perfect location, helpful staff, free wifi/bedlinen/towels/breakfast made this hostel a great place to stay for a 3 night trip to Prague. As four girls we stayed in a 6 bed dorm which was clean and tidy upon arrival. Toilet and shower facilities were located across the landing and were also regularly cleaned. We didn't use the kitchen to cook during our stay, but did eat the free breakfast there - this consisted of cereals/tea/coffee/sandwiches and the common room was also a good place to hang out and chat to other travellers. The hostel ran a bar crawl every night (we could only manage the one!) and a walking tour during the day. Both were great fun and I'd highly recommend them!

I liked this hotel, the staff are friendly and it's in a great location only a few minutes walk from the centre, but I came back in the evening to see the cleaner had left our door open, luckily nothing had been taken. I couldn't stay here again knowing our belongings are not safe here.

We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest we could find in the centre of Prague. We were more than pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel. The (family) room was clean, very spacious and well decorated. The staff were extremely helpful and are available 24 hours a day.

Breakfast was good, there was a selection of cereals, hot food, cold meats, cheeses and breads.

The hotel driver Robert, who picked us up from the airport was fabulous. He drove us around the city and pointed out the most popular sights of Prague.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget staying in Prague.

This is an older Hotel where the stay includes a wonderful breakfast. Eggs, meats, cheeses, granola, fruit, breads, coffee, tea, juices... very good. The rooms were comfortable and it was well situated. About 5 blocks from the Old Town Square and 3 blocks from a Tesco/bus/tram stops etc... They picked us up at the airport which was a definite plus as we were a bit jet lagged and it was quite a ways away.
The wi-fi worked well. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful.
The only draw back was a new establishment a few storefronts away... a very loud bar that stays open until like 4 AM. That will need to be dealt with, other than that a terrific place!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back.

Bit of a walk from the train station but once there; no need for public transportation. We spend 3 days in Prague and didn't have to catch a bus/subway once until we left for the airport.

Rooms are clean but are a bit older then other hotels we stayed at during our Euro trip. Free wifi and breakfast. As others have mentioned, the breakfast area is a bit small but most travelers have their fill and move on fairly quickly - we didn't have to wait once for a table.
