Just five minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and 15 minutes walk from the main Old Town Square, the location of these apartments is pretty much perfect. We booked through lastminuite.com and flew from Luton with Wizz Air so got a very good price. When we arrived we were delighted to find that we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a one bedroom apartment. We really couldn't fault the room(s) clean, comfortable (slightly odd very soft mattress?) and with just about everything we needed. We were informed that if we wished to cook, then cooking utensils could be supplied. All we asked for was a kettle which arrived within five minutes. We didn't eat the hotel breakfast which seemed a little on the expensive side for a continental breakfast choosing instead to buy fresh bread etc and make use of the kitchen. This was definately a better option for us. If you decide to do this then we would suggest asking for a tea towel (not supplied) and maybe take a dishwater tablet or two with you as there is no washing up liquid or tablets supplied. There was a washing machine and tumble dryer on our floor which might be useful but not necessary for a long weekend. We did use the sauna, the reception (which appears to be staffed almost all the time with very helpful and English speaking staff ) will put it on for you and heat it up and it was a very relaxing way to end a days hard sightseeing! It comes complete with mini plunge pool showers, lockers, towels etc.

As far as Prague goes we did a couple of tours with Martin Tours - both excellent. Book these at the booth behind the astrological clock in the Old Town Square. We can also recommend www.prague-airport-transfers.co.uk if you need transport to and from the airport. We booked online and the taxi drivers were on time and very helpful in both directions.

We can also loved the Cerny Slon (Black Elephant ) Hotel which is 1 minute from the main Old Town Square for a excellent but reasonably priced meal. We also had a great meal (very good steaks) at Casa Argentina but thought it was a bit expensive, especially for the wine.

Our other tips are: Have a drink at the great Hotel Europa on Wenceslas Square. Fantastic Art Nouveau building, if you go in December the hot wine and sausages in the Christmas market are to die for. For the best view of the clock have coffee or better still a hot chocolate upstairs in the hotel/cafe right opposite, the bars on the square level opposite have good views too but once everyone else arrives 5 minutes before the hour it can get a bit crowded and you lose your view very quickly. Restrict drinking on the main squares as all the bars are more expensive and just walk a little way away - there's a great little bar just opposite the apartments.

We loved Prague and if we are lucky enough to go again wouldn't hesitate to book these apartments again just remembering to take a couple of dishwasher tablets with us!

The first thing that needs to be said about this property is that it is not a full service hotel. It is meant for people staying for an extended period of time who wish to cook for themselves. That said, I was very impressed with the studio room. I booked It looked like what you would expect a standard marriott hotel room to look like with a very comfy king bed, nice good-quality furnishings and a decent bathroom with shower/tub combo. In addition there is a kitchen nook with a sink, small refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave and eating utensils. You could prepare your meals here if you wanted, although it would be too small for a large, elaborate feast. (I agree with a previous review criticizing the lack of cooking utensils, like pots and pans.) There is also a TV with cable/sat, an in-room safe and iron/ironing board. There was also coffee/tea making facilities.

The room itself was large by European standards and could accommodate up to 3 people: two in the king bed and one in the sofa bed. The room had a large glass sliding door that lead to a small illuminated terrace. The area immediately around the hotel is quiet, with only a 10-min walk to Wenceslaus Square. The room had a CD/radio player and a dvd player was connected to the TV.

As I said before, aside from a small fitness center and sauna, there was not much more to this hotel. The lobby is small and a bit drab as it has only a few pieces of cheap office waiting room-type furniture. My experience with the hotel staff was overall pleasant and the reception is staffed 24/7. Security is very good as you need your key card to enter the building and to operate the elevators/lifts that take you to the rooms.

Overall I was pleased with this property and so will you, as long as you are not looking for a full service hotel with restaurants, bars, a spacious lobby and recreational center.

We agree with many things mentioned by other reviewers. The apartment was clean, well appointed, and in a good location. We could walk to most of the places we wanted to go, and felt safe. There was an excellent restaurant just up the street and easy access to public transportation.

BUT -- we like to cook in as much as possible, and chose this hotel for two reasons -- it is a Marriott, and it represented that it had a "fully equipped" kitchen. The kitchen did indeed have a refrigerator, stove top, and microwave for cooking. But, the other supplies were totally lacking. There were NO pots and pans for cooking. There was no toaster. There was an iron, but no ironing board. We had only two small wine glasses, an odd assortment of plates, and a few pieces of silverware that did not match.

The biggest disappointment is that we were there for a week. We immediately contacted the customer service department of Marriott through the internet and they sent back an email that the were "looking into" the matter. We never heard from them again, and the problems were never solved.

The manager did contact us and ask us to make a list of the things we needed so she could supply them. However, almost everything we asked for was unavailable. NO cooking pots, or utensils for the microwave. NO toaster available -- we were told that the man next door who had one was staying for a long while and he had bought his own. There were no products for cleaning dishes, no filters for the coffe maker, no paper towels, and when we asked for cloth towles with which to wipe the few dishes, we were given two which were never replaced all week. There wasn't even an ice bucket, and none was available.

While I would recommend the hotel as a well located clean spot, it completely lacked the amenities we have come to expect from Marriott, and I do not understand the total lack of follow through from the Marriott Customer Service department.

We just returned from a two week holiday to Eastern Europe which included stays in Poland (Krakow) , Budapest and Prague. We stayed at the Marriott Executive Apartments for six nights while in Praha.

Everything about the stay was very good. The accommodations are modern, clean and well maintained. Our one bedroom apartment (flat) was very spacious with all the expected amenities. Service was exceptional and responsive. We paid less than $100 U.S. per night inclusive so we felt that we got great value, especially for Prague where accommodations can apparently be very pricey.

We highly recommend this property but do have one caveat.

Unfortunately the hotel is located on the fringe (one block away) from an unsavory area of adult clubs and stores. These are down the street from the Marriott towards Wenceslas Square. To circumvent this one and only problem there are a number of options you may want to keep in mind:
1) walk up one block from the hotel then left two to the Metro and tram #22 stops of I V Pavlova, this avoids this problem entirely. From Pavlova you can get anywhere in the city on public transport or
2) if walking up from the Square use the street before the one that the Marriott is on ( use Stepanska instead for example) then go one short block left or right to the Marriott

Prague is a gorgeous city, if you go you’ll enjoy it immensely.

Stayed from 9-12 August 2009: This apartment was very luxurious, in the city centre, but an extremely quiet location. We stayed for 3 nights, but I wanted to stay longer. My husband complained that I booked the hotel without paying an additional fee for breakfast, but once he was in our apartment, that kept him quiet and happy for the duration of our holiday. Approximately 7 minute walk to Wencelas Square (Macdonalds, Chinese, restaurant, Burger King, posh restaurants, cafes), 5 minute walk to the Museum and metro, mini supermarket to buy bread, milk, eggs, butter, crisps, sweets, choccies etc.) which was about a 2 minute walk. Service was excellent, concierge always able to provide assistance. We upgraded from a studio to a one bed apartment for only an extra 20 english pounds per night - what a bargain. we were on the top floor, views of the Prague Castle, our own large terrace which went all the way round to the bedroom - this had a nice seating area where you could eat your breakfast and admire the views, especially at night. Kitchen had all the equipment - cooking pots, frying pan, cutlery, fruit bowl, desert bowl, tea cups/saucers, can opener, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, fridge, iron, iron board, dinner plates, dishwasher, and an electric cooker - 2 hobs. Our dining area was adquate size, large lounge, large bedroom, large bathroom, clean carpets, king size bed, large windows, floor to ceiling in bedroom and lounge. In the lounge, we had a sofa bed, 2 tub chairs, coffee table, and a TV. In our bedroom, we had another TV, DVD player, and a music stereo to play tapes and CDs. We also had a work desk with lamp. Lots of wardrobe space, cupboards. We also had a safe. We asked for more bedsheets and a quilt - was brought up in less than 10 minutes. Airport was about a 20 minute drive away and we paid 38 english pounds for a return transfer from a company based in prague. Would I recommend this hotel - MOST DEFINITELY YES!!!

Completely agree with the review by Freshke. We paid pay the equivalent of about 15 Euro per person for an apple, warm yoghurt and a bowl of cereal each. You could choose to have bread if you like, and I think a cup of tea would have been extra. The worst Marriott breakfast ever, by a long margin.
Other than that the location is pretty good (easy 15 minute walk to sights) and the rooms are well appointed. We had 3 people in the room and it was not cramped.
Car parking seems very secure under the hotel.
We'd gladly go back, but would take our own breakfast to eat in the room
