This hotel is located next to the D1 highway (to Prague City) and quite a distance from Prague City Centre itself. It is not close to convenience stores/pubs or restaurants. In fact, I believe Club Hotel is actually more a Recreational Club with a Sports Centre (pool, bowling, tennis, squash etc) catering probably in it's heydays to the rich folks in town.
Rooms were alil dated and furniture was purely functional. Do not expect anything fancy... Comfortable and adequate for a night's rest. Television was teeny tiny and ancient.
Overall, I will give it a 3.5 rating.. For functional room and quiet surroundings despite being near the highway and all, we were never bothered by traffic… but unfortunately during our stay, the air conditioning (yes surprisingly they do have aircon!) wasn't working/or turned on and as we were on the ground floor, opening the windows would run the risk of letting insects into the room.
** If u are a nature lover, you might like this place as the hotel is surrounded by trees and greenery which is a nice contrast from city hotels. **
As for me, I feel that Prague is a lovely town and I would have liked spending more time there. I probably wouldn't return to this hotel though my stay was really quite pleasant simply because I would prefer to be much closer to the city centre itself.
As I was travelling during Summer and World Cup 2006 session, most of the hotels in the city were full... thus I was booked into this hotel.
