NEVER even think abour staying here - even if desperate.

I had a "GUARANTEED" Reservation for an executive room. After a long journey I arrived only to be told they had now booked a huge party of cyclists and I was being re-located!

The re-located hotel was a total disaster also although in a very much better location.

I had to return to the hotel for a pre-arranged business meeting. It is badly laid out. The restaurant is DREADFUL and the staff everywhere seem to think that they are more valuable than the guests! One would be polite to describe them as "ill mannered" and the Managing Director is the worst of the lot!

The actual owners are an Austrian hotel chain - and they are a pathetic organisation!

Stayed at the Crown Plaza at the end of last year. Chose the hotel based on previous good TripAdvisor reviews. Booked a taxi to collect us from the airport to hotel (recommended by previous Trip Advisor review) at 590 Chk crowns which was definitely worthwhile. Hotel is in a quiet part of Prague to the north of the Castle but it is easy to get the No.8 tram (runs every 15 mins) down to the metro and then into the city centre. Purchase all-day travel passes from the hotel reception which are valid for 24hrs so may be ok for the following day (depends when you validate them). Maps of Prague are provided free from reception. Rooms are nice and comfortable (and warm!) and are great to return to after a sub-zero day of touring around Prague. Good buffet style breakfast to set you up for the day with plenty to choose from (Bacon & Eggs, cakes, cereal etc). Booked opera tickets through concierge who was always helpful. Overall - a good hotel - would recommend it.
